Circa 1980
I'm the dude bottom right, about 9 years old, my brother is on the other side of the dog (Bertie the Heinz 57 beagle), my dad is back left, then step mum, then my Aunty Chris and my two cousins.
This was one of the many weekends we spent in the Shropshire countryside after mum and dad split up and dad would pick us up from Liverpool and drive to our uncle's.
I'll drag out a teenage pic later
1972 with my new build

Styles' School Great Yarmouth Football Team 1961/62 … I'm seated far left on front row. I'm still in contact with three of the lads. I'm wearing 'old fashioned' football boots i.e. with leather studs - bought in Freeman Hardy & Willis' sale for 12/6d and likely freshly 'dubbined'. At that time 'continental' style boots were expensive. The school provided the blue football shirts - and we wore whatever colour shorts and socks we'd bought ourselves.
And this was Styles' School at the seafront end of Trafalgar Road, Gt Yarmouth … approx 60 yards from the beach and demolished many years ago … replaced by an apartment block.
I relocated from Gt Yarmouth to London in 1970. At that time I wore a Jaeger leCoultre WWW watch bought for £5 from Keys Govt. Surplus store on Bells Road, Gorleston … where was possible to buy lots of ex-military watches for a few ££. I no longer have the Jaeger watch … or the WWW IWC Mk II bought a few years later. If only I'd known then what I know now.

"Well they would say that ... wouldn't they!"
1985 age 21.
Sometime in the afternoon, Dec 31st 2001, The Rocks in Sydney Harbour directly opposite the Opera House. It was, without a doubt, the best NYE ever.
I'm the one in the grey polo and silly inflatable hat
As a side note, that's the sky in the background. Half of the Blue Mountains were ablaze and what you can see in the 'photo is the smoke.
As a Page Boy at a cousin’s wedding - mid 1970’s. Apparently, I wasn’t happy with my shirt. You’d never guess from my expression.
Salford. Sometime mid 1970’s - guessing 1976. I’m the one in the pale blue shirt RHS.
Sacha’s nightclub Manchester late 1980’s (Probably around 88) - I’m the one in the white shirt.
They used to take pics and pin them to a board by the entrance. My mate spotted this (taken from a previous visit) and swiped it. I guess it was the Facebook of its day.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
1979 in Scarborough.
Me on the right (little one) with my brother on the left. I remember being scared thinking the Planet of the Apes guy was real.

What a set of fine specimens. No wonder the ladies are spoilt for choice. Maybe we should start up a rival to Tinder or Grinder. We could call it... wait for it... Windr.

Just over 20 years ago.
And a recent one, looking more haggard,
Circa 1986 ..
We forget too often what people like you went through. From Soviet occupation, to independence, to joining the EU.
I have never been to Latvia and therefore have no idea of what was a positive change, and what wasn’t. But the changes must have been life changing for so many...

All the nice girls like a sailor, 1973:
My hands are in my pockets, not down my trousers!
About then twenty years later, in the hope that all the bad girls would like a bluesman. They didn't, I wonder why?!?
Smart and dapper at age 5 in 1970 when I was at school in London.

10/08/97 according to the time stamp on the photo making me just gone 22 on my first trip as a qualified third officer. With what I think is a glass of Port stood in the alleyway outside the officers bar on RFA Grey Rover in the Falklands during what was probably a fairly drunken evening looking at some of the other pics.
