My current 'beater' is a Citizen Eco-drive Promaster 300m diver (BN0000-04H)
Photo 'borrowed' from Google
I find it a bit awkward to read at times for a few reasons...
There a too many reflective surfaces - the indices and hands have shiny edges and the second hand is shiny too.
The AR doesn't appear to do much.
The dial may be too small and a bit cluttered.
I don't like the design of the hands.
Date difficult to read.
When compared to my Fortis Cosmonaut, the Fortis is so much more legible and doesn't have the above problems.
So, I'm looking for is something similar to the Citizen: diver, solar quartz or similar, good WR, robust, lightweight, not too big overall (6.5" wrist) and inexpensive (say sub £300?) but that's much easier to read and addresses the issues mentioned above.
I'd thought about the Seiko SBDJ013 and would welcome thoughts on that, plus any other suggestions please.
Many thanks.
