Man the black bay 39mm has been my dream for ages! Anyone notice the crown between the Swiss made on the Rolex GMT? Not sure how I feel about that!!

What’s with that Tudor!
Looks nasty and cheap, even though it wont be cheap.
I noticed on Tudors website that the new black bay family of models are now available on Bracelet, Leather or Fabric. Before they were available on Bracelet or leather and you got the fabric strap in the box.
Does this mean that you no longer get the fabric with the bracelet or leather I wonder?
So what happens when the month is February, and has 28 or 29 days?
Your halfway point is not at 6 any more…!
As for preferences, the O&J is certainly novel, but setting the date and with irregular usage, it’s a nonsense – given the need to count or add/subtract in order to know the date. Your phone’ll be pulled out and checked sooner, especially if someone asks you what the day’s date is!
At least the Nomos, and others with peripheral date design, is easier and quicker to read, and relay to an enquirer.
Seems like Tudor feels the need to reinforce the Rolex association, whereas up until now, they purposefully kept the family ties very low-key.
A bit of an odd decision this one, unless sales have been slack for a while, and needed more of a push than DB has managed to provide thus far.
No, I believe it isn’t.
Black in both 36mm and 40mm, green for 36mm, and graphite for the 40mm.

Why are the hands so short on the centre seconds seamaster re-issue?

The first live shot of the Seiko SLA025, a modern day homage to their high beat 300m 6159-7000 divers watch from the late '60's. It looks fantastically authentic to me but I think it's been up-sized to some extent from the original. A limited edition release of 1500 worldwide. The movement is the 8L55 running at 36000 bph, a variant of the Grand Seiko 9S85. Power reserve at 55 hours which ain't bad for a proper high beat movement.
Photo pinched from James Dowling's Instagram feed.

This Tudor gmt - Tudor’s site says £2790. This is Tudor’s suggested retail price inclusive of vat. Does anyone know if retailers have scope to vary this price or not?

I want one.
Not really seen any thing so far that’s excites me.
The Omega Limited 1948 seamaster is the closest but the central seconds version has comically small hands for the hours and minutes to my eyes.

Am I the only one interested in the new Oris Divers 65, particularly the 36mm version?
I'm a sucker for the original and this looks pretty good to me.
Did I see a new omega ck2998?

I’m not feeling the love for the Omega - all the elegance of a period watch of that style is lost once you put it in a deep slab-sided case to fit that movement.
The Oris 36mm releases, on the other hand, seem really interesting - both the green-dialled bronze Big Crown and the sixty-five. It explains the Massdrop pricing earlier in the week, but also shows the perils of buying from a brand who don’t control their distribution strongly enough to protect residuals. So, pleasant as they are, I’ll hold onto my wallet until we see some discounting.
That is absolutely stunning and by far my favourite watch from this years offerings. Having just taken delivery of the Oris offering from last year, I may well be biased. The trick with Oris is to let them hit the market place and avoid paying RRP. Will certainly keep an eye out for the 40mm model when it comes out.
I really like the Black Bay '58, really hoping the case is not silly thick....12mm max wold be perfect. If it is around that thickness then my 39mm Hydronaut could well have a new Tudor sibling when the BB58 hits the shops!
Well done Tudor in reducing case size of the BB!
Cheers
Mark
Black Bay 58 is apparently 11.8mm or so, accordingly to Hodinkee
Yes thanks Simon, I just saw that on their site:
Meant to replicate the charm and appeal of Tudor's vintage reference 7924, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight is not only a bit smaller than a standard Black Bay, it's also quite a bit thinner, coming in at a svelte 11.9mm (vs 14.75mm on the 41mm wide models).
Brilliant news on the thickness!
Cheers
Mark
Really like these too. 41mm titanium case.
