Hi all,
I'm considering selling my close to mint Rolex GMT 2 black ceramic. But can't list on SC, and don't want to get low balled by a trader.
Are there better places to sell than eBay? Or traders which bid decent money?
Thanks all, good at buying historically but not sold before!!
Jon
Sorry not my intention to have a sales post, happy to remove if breaks any rules, just a genuine question as not needed to sell before.

Catawiki. Chrono24. Down the pub. Pub has lowest fees

Have you tried Watchfinder?
They’re usually pretty fair on Rolex sports.
Jon h has been a member here for 7 yrs so he's hardly being sneeky in my opinion .
Good luck with your sale . A few more posts you will be able to list it on sc
Chrono24 is a good place to sell

Blowers will sell on comission basis - might be worth your while.
Look out for some caustic posts as some take offence. You might want to be less specific about the watch you are looking to sell. Just a thought.
Oh dear. Too late - some have already fully quoted your post. Maybe they can do the same.

Watchfinder have always given me a sensible offer.
Have you considered an MX5?
Watchfinder will usually give a decent price on Rolex GMT. Else go for eBay. Chrono24 can be good but the fees are up front.
oh dear

You've probably had a few PM's from a few select member low balling you on price.
These people are what is known as the forum hoovers and they will make a profit on anything you sell to them.
Always worth a call to Joe at Xupes. They will offer to buy (not the best way) or sell at a commission +VAT.
Sold mine to Blowers.
I'm sure I could have squeezed more out of it elsewhere but it was hassle-free.
Check WTB section..

I would try watchfinder, they will offer a fair price.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions, some useful..... others less so 🙄
Gunna get in contact with a few of the resellers mentioned and see how I get on. Some I'd not thought of so definitely worth while
Cheers
Jon
And ps 7 years and on here most days.....don't let the lack of posts tell you anything
Ask Ally
watches.co.uk no nonsense to deal with. Jon and Tim real gents.
You may want to hold on a few days if they discontinue at Basel as I saw a rumour on TRF.
I have successfully sold watches through Chrono24. Got more like that than I did by contacting dealers to buy off me/sell on my behalf. Not much trouble either IMO
I set up my own home made stall on the street and they all went fast......
The Police said they will do their very best to find them but don't hold much hope.
Probably ebay is the best bet
I was in a similar situation a while back. I sold to blowers for a fare price and they were easy to deal with.
I was in a similar position, had to sell one watch to purchase another but not enough posts.
Sold to watchfinder ( which went fine) but would have rather sold on here.
I have sold a couple to Blowers in the past, both times they came up with good prices compared to other quotes. I think I would be tempted with Chrono24, especially with such an in demand watch. I'm guessing you could take the dealers quote, compare it to their selling price, split the difference and be very competitive while still coming out ahead!?
Best of luck in selling!
Thanks all for the advice and thoughts.
I managed to get a price I was happy with by selling to the trade.
Easy transaction and allowed me into my Blnr..... but keep thinking I should have kept it!
Oh well..... live and learn!
Jon
just have that on copy/paste do you?
