It's just arrived and been on my wrist for about 10 minutes but I can ate it staying in a lot longer! I'll try it on a Perlon strap when I get home. Very happy so far
Thanks to Ant for supplying
Well I wanted one of these for a while, and mentioned it to my local dealer before Christmas. They said well it could be a while but I didn't want to travel to another dealer who had one or get on the grey market.
I'd rather carry on buying from a local business so said I'd wait.
Anyway last Friday they said they had just had one in did I still want it!
Yup!
Yes they wear quite big but still loving it even with my skinny wrist!
Did not planning on wearing this fella to work but couldn’t resist!

That was the first watch I was looking at when I was just getting into the hobby.
Still love it now.

Two additions in the last week or so:
and
Just picked this up from the post office. The dial is beautiful (and my picture doesn't do it justice!)
An early quartz (ESA 9183 movement) and a funky crystal.
I know it’s quartz but losing 2s a day for a 45 year old watch rescued from the eBay scrap heap is pretty good I think. The pictures don’t show it but the dial and hands are perfect. The case and bracelet have lots of small scratches but generally nothing to bad. It may be worth an evening polishing the shiny bits as they contrast nicely with the brushed areas. The movement looks nice as well (stock shot as I haven’t had the back off yet).
This is a link to a nice write of a movement service, with lots of pictures including the (apparently) very large rotor.

Yes, it's the SBGX265
A little rarity arrived this morning. Wasn't a limited edition but production stopped at 25 due to separation of Aramar and Steinhart. Very lucky to find it

This tritium beauty from the eighties arrived yesterday...my first Speedy and in love with this gently patinaed dial
Bought off the forum, thanks Liam!

Ah I forgot about the Casio / pesky son nicked that one within 10 minutes of arrival ☹️. Sold 2 steinharts bought two steinharts. The Fortis was a straight trade for another watch, but yeah abstinence isn't my strongest suit
Crumbs just checked - the Tudor chron was January too. Eek. Better not tell 'er indoors. Luckily she's completely ambivalent to my watches although she has taken to wearing your old Longines Admiral centre seconds

My vow of no watch purchase in 2018 lasted 1 month and 22 days. 🤤🤤

My new arrival. Whilst the rubber strap was lovely and soft, I had ordered a Hirsch Robby to go with it which works much better for me as the buckle and keepers are smaller
