It's styling on first feel seems a bit bland but it's growing on me fast - everything just seems perfectly proportioned - don't plan on removing it from wrist anytime sooncept for strap changes

I sold a 1969 vintage Omega Constellation, probably the best condition you could find one in as it was a beauty, with the money I got I bought this watch from the British Company Omologato. It is a watch to celebrate the life of the late great James Hunt and I love it.

This arrived today. I bought it from Elady in Japan and I am over the moon about its condition. Couldn’t be happier and I think it’s compact size suits my wrist quite well.

Just received it. I really fancy a bahama yellow mk2 to go with it.

Speedmaster 9300 Co-Axial and Omega Micro Adjustable Clasp....
After numerous years of lusting, a number of false starts and a long wait for a Sub 114060 that I didn’t end up liking, I’m excited that I have a 14060 on the way to me. Roll on tomorrow!

This one took an age to arrive since ordering!
It kind of reminded me of a Russian doll. Bear in mind it was already packed inside a much larger box for transit.
A box inside a box inside a box etc.
I've had a few Speedmasters over the years, but this is the first of the newer package Moon Watches I've owned. No doubt the box would be an absolute pig to box up and post on if sold, but the whole set looks a hell of a lot better than the Speedy Tuesday package imho. and in comparison, at the discount price on RRP, the standard Moon Watch looks fantastic value.
To be brutally honest I bought it because I wanted the bracelet for my Speedy Tuesday, and the extra straps and box etc. (Not to mention the actual watch itself) seemed to make more sense as a purchase, as I'll just swap all the Omega straps and clasps I own between them.
Any way, I'm very pleased so far, but the Speedy Tuesday is by far my favourite of the two.
It's just a matter of time...
This Heuer Bund arrived from Germany today

This arrived today.
Just took the plunge on an Orient 300m Saturation Diver from the 'bay.
I've always liked this model but was worried about how big it would be... my recent research showed that they were getting rarer for some reason, so I just went for it today, alea jacta est and all that.
Will post pics of it beating my puny wrist into submission
Yes, and from the SC

Couldn’t resist this one...
Ideal size at 41mm & I love the bezel & sunburst grey dial.

I love how Oris have bothered to put in a date wheel that suits the dial. Far too rare an effort!
I could have put this a bit more clearly.
For those who don't know, the movement is a very standard Sellita, whose date window is usually way in from the edge of the dial on a 41mm watch. I won't pretend to know the correct terminology, but Oris have been able not just to replace the date wheel, but replace it with a significantly bigger one
Love the Dial on that, nice watch and I bet at reasonable money.

My first Lemania with their 5100 but only 2 subdials. I'm not feeling cheated though and the blue dial more than makes up for it
A bit of an unusual watch for the TZ incoming… I stared to get a bit nostalgic over Christmas about the Swatch Watches I once had and which have long since vanished, all down to reading A Man and His Watch by Matt Hrane (which is a very enjoyable read).
It lead to me searching the online Swatch history / model finder which is fascinating in itself, and amazing how many designs have been produced: https://www.swatch.com/en_gb/watches/
And then this eventually lead to hunt around eBay (as you’d expect!). I came across this cheapie unworn, unwanted gift from the current line up in 34mm and I’m pleasantly surprised. Feels nice on the wrist and finished pretty well: the dial has a brushed silver texture and the hands have an almost rough looking deeper texture. Lovely simple design and an enjoyable cheap punt… I might look at a few more vintage pieces if they appear!
It also has helped me start to firm up that I really am happy with 34mm watches and that could well be a way I go with Rolex this year in maybe in Oyster Perpetual or even an older Air-King. All good food for thought…
SWATCH – GM185 – SEAPOOL
