No it's not, not even close......this is, of course, a personal opinion. But Grand Seiko have made numerous superb dials, and numerous more interesting designs. Some of the modern GMTs, just for a start. The Snowflake suffers the flaw of all the spring-drives, that ugly power reserve dial. The daft thing is that the spring-drive is such an efficient winder that it doesn't need a power reserve. Just an hour or two a day of use is enough.
Still an excellent watch. As are many GS models.
