Pretty dark here as I'm watching Pacific Rim with dog sleeping on me but managed to snap my new addition to the 'family'..

You bet, I love the plexis but this is an everyday wearer so it's perfect for me.

Oh my, that is lovely. Well done, you must be absolutely thrilled.
Love the matte grey/black look of the dial on my explorer 1 in different lights, the one that's lasted by far the longest.

For the record the BLNR does not get any wrist time at all. While I love the dial and bezel, the chunky oversized lugs means it is just outclassed by the other two in my opinion.

May I ask, are the PCLs brushed on the BLNR?

Trusty sub today...
...though I think I prefer my SD as a keeper
I think the Datejust is , on TZ, an under rated watch. There is a reason it outsells all other Rolex models by a large margin. It is the watch most Rolex buyers want. Not the forum favourites such as the Submariner or Daytona....the Datejust is arguably the key Rolex model.
I think it is the conservatism of the design that attracts buyers. Especially as it has all the key features, great, rugged, movement, 100 metre water resistance, superb finish. This one is a new 41mm version with Jubilee bracelet and the new 32.. movement.
I do enjoy it quite a lot. In fact I agree with those who see it as the best all round watch Rolex make. Never be fashionable though ! Never has been.
