That's so cool!
I hope this thread runs and goes literally global :-)
Further to Steve's excellent idea for a holiday watch rental scheme for charity, this is the thread for recording where the Citizen has been on its travels around the globe. The watch now comes with two passports for recording notes, collecting memorabilia etc and also a world map for plotting routes.

Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see where it ends up
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant!
Nicely done. Should be a good thread!
Ben has given this adventure an awesome start .
I'll be following this thread with interest, well done Ben! Will be hard to beat your destination country.
Despite your obvious bias, you may have a point
Well, that's my packing done...
Excellent, glad to see the case arrived too. It suits the isofrane. Have a great trip .
Good thread this , ironically on a flight the other day this was for sale in the inflight garb and her indoors was saying that looks nice are you going to buy one lol
And so, it begins...
Common as muck
Down to the beach (Turkey in the background)
Lunchtime snack
Time to check it's waterproof with a dip in the pool...
The missus was getting grumpy that I'd not taken photos of her on holiday, just photos of "that bloody watch", so I evened things up by letting her feature in the background.
A well earned rest after a dip in the coldest pool in Christendom...
After a brief rest, Watchy gets some culture then heads to the beach...
And it begins once more.
This is fantastic.
What a life this watch is living
I can't understand why you're wife would be getting peeved off at you? I mean, you've only taken 12 pictures of it so far...

Anyway, back to business.
To show it's not all bars and beaches, Watchy visited the valley of the butterflies
And visited a monastery with an awesome view.
But best catch some rays before it's time for a sundowner...
Curses! Closed!
Time to head home
A couple of photos to show we made it home...
And a quicky of Watchy inspecting the lack of progress of the R65 restoration...
So it's now time to pack the travel watch up, ready to start a new adventure.
I received the watch from Gyp yesterday afternoon in good time before my holiday that starts thursday morning. With a couple of days to go I thought to myself all play and no work makes Eco a dull bad boy. So I decided to take the watch to work with me. Sadly this weeks satisfying action took place on monday before I had the watch, so some interlude action must suffice to Eco.
This is what happened before:
We need to feed this hungry monster:
Let's make sure the new holes are coming up like they're supposed to:
Check out how the maintenance of another rig is coming along:
Coffee is the oil that keeps us Finns moving:
I hope I have some better weather ahead. The watch managed the rainy day sandbox duty great though. Both adults' sandbox and kids' sandbox:

I'm sorry I've been so busy enjoying my holiday I haven't really taken watch pics.
Edit. Bloody imgur on mobile is beyond my skills
My holiday is sadly over but luckily work doesn't start before monday, so I have still a long weekend ahead. Here are the highlights of my trip to Crete. I have two girls, three and five years of age respectively, so this was purely a relaxing beach and pool holiday. The weather was lovely, if a bit windy on a couple of days. There was a cloud blocking the sun for all of ten seconds during my whole stay.
Couldn't link this previously on mobile:
A lovely dip into the Mediterranean sea:
Afternoon coffee by the pool:
Lollo liked the watch too:
I had my own watch with me too, the mighty Gulfmaster:
Thanks to Steve for providing this opportunity to have a lovely holiday lease watch! I'll update the paperwork and try to have the watch on its way pacchi (who is next on the list) asap. I'll PM stefaulkner and pacchi with relevant details.
Cheers,
Antti

I guess its a BM8475, can anybody enlighten me further, Is it the one in Jet2's in flight mag?
A busy few weeks for the Citizen I miss it whenever I see photos of it which is a bit daft I know, as I only had it for a week.
Thanks. Appreciate the information.
The watch is now en route to pacchi. I'm looking forward to his report of the journey. This is how it left me:
Many good days with my loved one and the little Citizen fella (and a couple of others...). Hiking in Madeira, far niente the pool, Fado in the evening at the restaurant. All in all, very joyful week. Next stop in April: the Cove http://www.thecoveeleuthera.com/
our friend under the palm tree (where he/it belongs)
Madeira is truly gorgious!
and as seen below I got a bit fat...;-)
Good luck on your next travel.....and thanks again Steve!
Cheers,
Serge

This is just so brilliant! Great to see where this watch has been - can imagine that the total package it gets shipped with getting bigger and bigger as it collects souvenirs on its travels.
No plans to go anywhere for a while so no opportunity to add to it unfortunately.
Well I'm up next, and if I can smuggle it in (to where I'm going) , it's about to have a unique experience !!
William
I'm disappointed; my first scan of the workshop prospectus read as Postero-lateral laxatives.
Mmmm, the watch appears to have been 2 adventures since the last entry on this thread. Any pics Mcfastybloke and Ally?
Im trying to keep a running total of the money it’s raised too, so please make your donations clear in the FR.
Thanks,
Steve.
