The re issue is out on the cwc website. Its price -£1999!
Personally unsure on the mismatched lume on dial and hands.

Went over the photos again, it pains me to think why they went with faux patina for the dial and why not on the hands. At least match whatever colour the design dept chose.
In terms of faux patina I prefer the colour palette on the Tudor Pelagos LHD
I quite like the look of it, it looks the part ... the price tag however makes it a non starter for me, same as the rest of the CWC divers really
exactly this! The SBS diver was the perfect tool watch until the price went up, now its more of a statement watch! and to be fair 2 grand seems like a huge amount for a 2824 (standard I assume) equipped watch with nothing special going for it!? also if they had made the lume on the dial the same colour as the hands it would be a lot more pleasing on the eye.
This is a disappointing miss for me. The shiny brown lume is horrid and the price ridiculous. Other than that it looks ok, quite nice even, but as it is, at that price point, I have no interest whatsoever.

Are they trying to create an 'authentic' looking vintage watch with faux patina where the hands are later period replacements?
Perhaps they should follow the Laco approach and charge more for having a team who distresses the cases.

This could've been a really nice watch but like others have said the false vintage lume (I don't like vintage lume at the best of times but this is awful), mismatched hands, old effect on the front and modern laser etching on the rear, and the price just don't do it for me. Each to their own but I used to love CWC and have had a few of their watches (biggest regret selling my SBS) but I can't help thinking that they're just cashing in on the vintage trend at the moment. I used to like their basic website more than the one they have now that has had the marketing department go to town on it.

So £1300 for a different dial and lume colour? Have I missed something? Bonkers!
am I missing the pics here??
No to the hands and lume for me, and a big no to the price. I was on the verge of buying the last time they put the price up, which made me decide not to (was about to buy the day it went up - still annoyed about that). That price is over reaching as far as I'm concerned. Disappointing.
And here's the original watch that they based it on:
Maybe they ordered the wrong colour dial lume :S

thanks guys

So that awful butterscotch coloured lume is Luminova, but they have the dial marked with a Tritium symbol.
At that price, these little things matter, and they could have at least done it right.
No thanks.
Got mine this morning, I really like it, apart from the shiny lume.
The 3,6 and 9 do not glow, although they look the same as the hour markers.
Did you specify a number? Which number did you get?

Does look nice, but £2k? Rather steep IMO.
Agree that the dial marking should have been 'L' rather than 'T'. The PRS-29 has that, and it's a nice touch.
Not sure why they went with different colours on dial and hands
Yeah I can't help wonder this, only thing I can think is the dial lume turned out darker than intended. Unless as has been suggested elsewhere they were going for a post replacement service hands look.
I like the colour of the hands but not so much the dial lume, especially for its glossy finish.
Too high price?! Really nice design but I dislike watches with fake patina..
They can try and justify the awful /mismatched lume and crazy high price all they like. It looks cack.
