Nice looking chronograph Jason, congratulations.
Had a nice meet up with my old mate Derek Luvwatch at a small county watch fair yesterday, we've been going for over 10 years and have sometimes come up with some good bargains, sadly in these enlightened times these finds are now very few and far between, still its nice to get out of the house and there is aways a chance.
Did ok with this I think, manual wind 7734, not a particularly quality one, I think its a plated case but its in pretty good condition, I just like the dial, especially the blue tachy track.
It wasn't working but the balance was shining well, the chronology pushers didn't do anything but it would run with slight pressure to the crown, I took the back off and tightened a few loose screws and generally poked about , must have done something right as its now running well and keeping very good time overnight!
The chrono central seconds doesn't reset to 12 and it will obviously go for a proper service at some time but for a cost of a smidge over £100 Im happy enough.
Nice looking chronograph Jason, congratulations.
I think it's a nice find. Like you, I like the blue, especially contesting with the red accents. The squared sub-dials in a round case give it a cool early Seventies (?) vibe. You're much more knowledgeable than I am - I'd be afraid of buying a non-runner.
That's a lovely looking thing jason
I like that a lot but I'm a sucker for red accents.
Good find
Thanks all, come home to check on it and its still running accurately which I am surprised at!
I think Ill wear it for a few days to see how it lasts.
I like that, Jase, it's a good find.
As you say, these days everybody's a speculator and finds like this will be harder to come by.
Thanks Ian, I agree, hey ho, fun whilst it lasted.
Cheers..
Jase
That's a cracking looking chronograph , nice find .
