Is this normal? Has anyone done this as well? What's wrong with me?
Please let me know.
Steve
I do it quite often - sometimes for 2 or 3 weeks.
I can't go completely wrist nude, but have ignored my mechanical watches for the last week, instead favouring my recently acquired G-Shock GW-5000.
I'd worn my mechanical watches daily for many years up until now so it's been quite a change for me.
Occasionally - feels alien though 😳
Never leave the house without a watch, feels weird.
Usually wear one in the house too.
I can't even go to bed unless I'm wearing one.

Nobody needs to wear a watch in today's world but I feel naked without one...my left wrist just feels funny!
I haven't worn one for quite a few weeks, seriously thinking about selling them all with exception of one or two.
I only ever wear mine when going to the office or when going out, that's if I remember.
I've not worn one for a while now, even ventured to Tenerife without one recently. It actually feels odd now if I put one on, so much so I can only stand it for about 10 minutes before it's off again. Can't seem to stop looking at the TZ website and Sales Corner though.
I often find I don't wear a watch around the house but if I'm out I always have something on.
Apart from the occasional lapse, it's been over 2 years since I wore a watch - and I don't feel that I'm missing anything
Since, as many have pointed out, watches are completely optional, one doesn't have to feel obliged to wear one all the time. Owning watches is a hobby, not a duty. One can take pleasure from them without wearing them. I enjoy seeing my modest collection resting in their watch box as much as I enjoy picking one out when I feel the need for one. That said, I frequently go days at a time without wearing one.
I also don't feel quite right without one.
Don't see anything wrong with that if you don't feel like wearing one.
It's OK, I wore two the whole day to even up the watch universe for you. Breathe.
Steve. You are weird, considering this is a watch forum. (Please take this as a non serious comment - but seriously, you must be out of your tree).
You need to seek professional help. And don't mention it to anyone else. Ever again...

I wouldn't dream of not wearing a watch!!! I've worn one every day since I was a little lad.
I must confess, that a watch goes on my wrist before I get out of bed, and is the last thing that I take off before climbing back into my pit late at night.
Sometimes I will wear 2 or 3 different watches during the day, or wear one for a whole week! Any messy chores, then I have a couple of G-Shocks ready to be worn.
There is no way that I could go a week without wearing a watch, as I would struggle after 60 seconds. Perhaps I still have the watch bug after all
I once posted this picture:
The tar and feathers brigade soon gathered outside and I was put in stocks for a few days in the village square and I had Rolex stickers placed over my eyes, mouth and ears and I was pelted with bits of plastic from smashed up fake watches until I agreed to sign the pledge that I would never miss a Friday thread again.
I didn't wear socks last week.
The only time I'm not wearing a watch is when I'm in my scratcher or taking a bath/shower. Otherwise it's an essential item.
What prompted day one of not wearing one?

Phone the watch Dr. for your medication.
Nothing wrong with it, personally maybe only a day or so but never more than that.
I always wear a watch, they`re essential.
I have one on 25 hours a day.
Not wearing a watch is like going Commando.
I too feel strange if I'm not wearing one. I wear mine 24/7 though did try going without. I lasted a few hours!
I've worn a watch for so long (not in the shower obviously), that I'm convinced the shift to my centre of gravity caused by removing it would cause me to fall over. Either that or one of my legs would fall off. Trust me, it's only safe to go without a watch when you're in bed.

I forgot to put a watch on some time ago and felt quite 'lost' without it!

Forget to put my watch on and it'll be on my mind until I do ... feels very strange with a bare wrist!!
Forgot to put one on today as it goes - soon realised it and felt uncomfortable

I just can't do it. I only go watch-less in the shower.

Other than "upstairs" in meetings, or on courses, watches are not permitted where l work.
As a result l rarely bother putting one on until l return home - but it's one of the first things l do when lm through the door and it kind of reminds me lm in my own time.
The only time I don't wear a watch (apart from when I sleep) is when I am on my bike, but as soon as I get back and have a shower I put it back on.
