I'm enjoying "Ozark", the wife less so.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
I know it's been mentioned before, but just started the second series of Preacher, mad, crazy and funny, really enjoying it.
Cheers..

Just watched the Pilot of OZARK http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5071412/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Brilliant so far, the complete first season is available, and the show has been renewed for season 2 ;)
Somehow managed to survive until the end of "The Defenders". I think I can recommend it only to die hard fans of netflix's Marvel shows, I honestly watched it only because I am long time fan of Daredevil. Very uneven, some great stuff (DD and JJ) and some really cringe worthy scenes (LC and IF). In the end thumbs up, but would not recommend to casual viewer. Boring Sunday afternoon material.
Snowfall is quite entertaining and the characters are great in 19-2, if you like cop drama.
I kind of agree with thew assessment. The whole series was crippled by the Hand being the 'baddie'. I also believe now that IF has been written as a petulant idiot rather than just the actor. You see this with the interaction with LC and IF, which is decent acting. I personally liked LC, especially the first half of the show. But once again DD is what saves the whole thing. Season 3 DD will be good I reckon and looking forward to the Punisher.
In many ways the characters are better in their own shows with a few popping up in the other series when necessary I reckon.
Really not keen on the idea of the Defenders. Loved JJ and DD but couldn't even finish the other 2......

All the talk of these has reminded me I hadn't got around to watching Iron Fist yet, so just started it. The first episode is pretty good, or at least promising.
Luke Cage was worse from the outset, but got even worserer* as it went on. Based on all the comments, I'm assuming IF gets worse as it goes on too. I'm seeing some strands of cheese running through the emerging plot so not holding out too much hope of that being a Joss Whedon style subterfuge.
* Totally a real word, I checked.
Currently watching Snowfall http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6439752/?ref_=rvi_tt
Up to episode 8 right now, and it gets better with each episode, its gritty, and violent, all about the early 80's cocaine scene in LA. It hides no punches, tell's it as it is with no glamourising.
That looks good, where is available?

First season grew on me to the point where the last half was pretty outstanding stuff.
Season 2 started badly and got worse. I don't know why the wachowski's still get budgets . I suspect they won't be from now on.
Preacher season 2 seems to be getting back to its comic book roots thankfully after its uneven season 1.
Mentioned before and not new, but The Wire is back on Sky Boxsets.
A good week for Netflix here - season three of Narcos, season 2 of Killjoys and Season 2 of The Expanse next Friday.
Can't wait to get stuck into narcos s3.
Defenders was OK. The guy only speaking Japanese really bugged me for some reason.
Plus the glowing fist seems to end fights really quickly so why not start with that first?
Season 8 of Archer has had me laughing out loud too.
Need to start Rick & Morty as well as several others.
"The Tick" fourth incarnation turned out great, shame the second half of the season is scheduled for 2018.
If you are familiar with previous versions (comics, cartoon, 2001 live action series) - this one plays more as a quirky superhero show than genre deconstruction, but really funny and clever.
Also been watching Power on netflix, a bit salacious but entertaining enough.
Manhunt Unabomber is great so far and based on true events. As an extra there's a key phrase in it, which is recently very familiar in the UK
Freeview for me so suggestions are a bit restricted. But Dr Foster series 2 started on BBC 1 last night (Tuesday) and it's already gripping! Divorce gets very messy!

Watched Atypical on Netflix with Mrs wombleh and it's a 5/5 for both of us, certain scene with his missus and a penguin that still makes me chuckle now. Probably best series I've seen for a long time and very different to normal tv series we watch.
Really looking forward to the new Philip k Dick electric dreams series on channel 4, the guy tells a ripping yarn (he wrote the book blade runner based on) and they have people like Steve Buscemi and Bryan Cranston lined up to star, it could be epic.
Just finished the 3 episodes of 'Strike' the cuckoo's calling adapted from Robert Galbraith (ie j.k Rowling). Have to say, pretty good adaption and well made show. Silkworm up next, not read the book but should be good.
If you like your detective stories, this is for you!
Better Call Saul, spin off from Breaking Bad and as good as.
I am sure that this will have been mentioned many times earlier in the thread - Westworld.
Recorded it about a year ago and never watched it. Then with all the advertising on Sky box sets, I finally gave it a go.
Wow!
Watched the whole series in 4 days. Numerous very deep stories, and big twists. Tempted to watch it again already, to look for clues and many things that I am sure that I missed.
Now waiting for series 2 allegedly in 2018.
If you like conspiracies, you'll probably like "Helix".

All episodes are available on sky of series 1. First 3 were good, Tim Roth as always is superb. Lots of potential.

Twelve Monkies on Netflix
The Last Ship on Now TV
Both no-brainers but good fun..
Montalbano is on again, a new series.
Season 3 of Narcos was superb.
First time i watched it i struggled to get past episode 3 of season 1. Started watching it the other month and we binged both series and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to a third series.
Just started watching season 2 of 'The Strain' and enjoying that as well.
Got to agree with 'The Handmaids Tale', good but harrowing, a bit like 'The State' currently on C4.
Am I the only person watching Midnight Texas?
New seasons on The Expanse and Bojack Horseman added to Netflix today. Plus s3 of Narcos added recently, the backlog's going to take a while to clear. Stranger Things 2 is supposedly coming out on the 27th as well.
Edit: Oops. ST2 is due Oct 27th, not Sept.
Ten episodes of Tin Star, with Tim Roth playing a Canadian sheriff undergoing a family trauma, are on Sky Atlantic catchup. I've watched the the first two this evening. Good.
I can't remember Banshee being mentioned before, just finishing the first season, really enjoying it, ex con takes the Id of a small town Sheriff, lots of boobies too 👍
Cheers..

Just watched 1st episode of Tin Star, think this will be very good. Tim Roth is great!
The Sinner with Jessica Biel, interesting thriller with some great acting.
Just finished The Handmaids Tale, absolutely superb. One of the most original shows I have seen for years, amazingly put together and acted. Harrowing as well. Best thing I have seen for a while!
