Guerlain Santal Royal has been my recent scent. A good, long lasting and distinctive smell that is not too overpowering. Other than that I have a couple of Tom Fords and am also keen on Chanel Allure Sport.
I have been curious to try 4711, any users here?

Chanel Egoiste Platinum if I'm after something a little stronger, Chanel Allure Homme for something fresher.
And any aftershave has to have a deodorant, shower gel and preferably moisturiser/balm available for that layering effect.
+1 for creed Adventus
I have a few on the go at the moment.
Creed Aventus, GIT, Silver mountain water , Spice and Wood and also Terre d'Hermes pure perfume.
I'm hoping to get some Tom Ford Tuscan Leather next.
somebody mentioned it below but scentsamples website is excellent.
the atomisers you get with the samples work well and last the distance...
and the 15% off TF helps :)
Easy...
Issey Miyake...
Enough said...
1. Mont Blanc Legend
2. Issey Miyaki original
3. Gucci Guilty original
4. Issey Miyaki Sport

Smells like Fahrenheit. An all time favourite.

For the last few years my standard "squirt-it-on-in-the-morning" has been Armani Eau de Nuit, which is quite pleasant, but I've been wondering about taking a step up in quality and what to try. Another thread to follow.
Another Terre D'Hermes wearer here, I tend to use that in the evening and Creed Tabarome for the day. Neither are cheap, especially the Creed, however I don't wear fragrances at work (strong scents not allowed) so bottles last years and not months
Valentino uomo for me.
This is my favourite - I've had a lot of comments about it, - however, I think different aftershaves suit and smell different on different people..
Issey Miyake - L'Eau D'issey (general daytime; other 2 evening and events)
Terre D'Hermes
Tom Ford - Neroli Portofino
keep thinking I should add something from Creed or similar but due to working from home most of the time I tend to just shower & moisturise most days.
Another Terre de Hermes wearer but I mix it up with Tom Ford Black Orchid mainly in the winter as it's quite powerful/heady and Guerlain Vetiver in the summer for something lighter.
Used to wear Creed Green Irish tweed but it smelled like cheap soap on me.
Hermes Rocabar, when I can find it. Terre de Hermes when I can't.
I can't get on with Terre d'hermes for some reason, but do have a steadily growing collection.
I generally stick to green Irish tweed, Tom Ford neroli portofino and Aventus in the spring/ summer months and then switch to Burberry 'London' or viktor and Rolf 'spicebomb' in the winter.
Terre is the only fragrance I've ever worn that ladies (known and unknown) have commented on, so I wear it almost all of the time. 😉
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is my favourite, but I have two more unusual fragrances: Knize 10 (probably the strongest scent I've ever tried - a mixture of tobacco and leather) and L'Anarchiste by Caron (another strong scent). I've also used Colonia in the past and really like it.
As well as Aqua di Parma Colonia (am) and Oud (pm) - recently added Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet. Lovely and fresh...
Terre D' Hermes and Chanel Allure Sport for me.
Think i'll give that scent samples a blast.
Bunch of bloody faries you lot. Try something masculine FFS....
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
I'm partial to a more citrus-heavy scent, short of rubbing an orange over my face in the morning, which would sting a bit if I actually shaved, I've settled on CKOne.
I also like the Blue and Orange Ralph Lauren Polo scents.
For work though I just use any old cheap rubbish from Primani, I spend half my life slaving away in that place, I'm damned if I'll pay good money to smell like a model while I'm doing it!
Variety of Comme de Garcons (Wildwood, Blackpepper and 2), although currently wearing Dior Sauvage
I got a discount code for ScentSamples... SAMPLE10
It didn't work for me but you may have better luck.
I just realised how cheap it is on there for the larger bottles. For example Creed Aventus 50ml is almost 50% cheaper than from Selfridges. Is a posh bottle really worth £85!?
Depends.
A decent hand-blown glass bottle, that you can refill, is probably worth it. But if you're happy buying decanted scents in a generic bottle, then I'd tend to agree that there's no point paying for packaging. It would be nice if more brands offered a refill service, rather than forcing people to keep buying the same, apparently disposable but rarely recycled, glass bottles and packaging over and over again.

Can't believe nobody's mentiond it yet.
60 percent of the time, it works everytime !
It's illegal in 9 countries !!
and on a more serious note I am very keen on Dior Homme Intense, it's a parfum so you hadly need any, but it is amazing. Make sure you get the "Intense" version
second choice: Acqua di Gio Profumo in the black bottle
Floris Elite, here.
Unfortunately, most of the women I know detest it!
Yes. Perfumer H, for example. I'm hoping Haeckels might start soon too, given their stance on the environment.
Perfumer H's service isn't strictly a refill, but they do have plainly packaged versions that you can use to refill the expensive hand-blown glass bottles they sell. They also come with two atomizers (useful for travel).
I was also advised by the Frederic Malle salesperson to buy the larger bottle from them and use atomizers. All cuts down on waste, I suppose.

Lots of love for Terre d'Hermes on this thread.
I ended up with some and can't say I like it much - I put it on SC and got flattened in the rush (too cheaply obvs!)
Current favourite - Malle's French Lover.
Same here, also have a dabble with Fahrenheit.Polo Green is what I use and many people commen and ask me what it is..... just seems to suit me.
Speick is around £10 a bottle from Amazon. I love it as an aftershave lotion, as a fragrance it lasts about 10 minutes.
Win win, IMHO.
Tried a few of the popular ones on here at Selfridges yesterday. Most smelled too sweet and sickly for my taste. My favourite so far is Prada Amber Intense which I found by accident as I don't think it has a mention here but has now. Too many fragrances out there - given the way the samplers are splashed about I can see why they are often expensive - have to recoup that wasted money somehow. £400 for a bottle of something by Tom Ford? They must be laughing all the way to the bank.
