Hamilton Jazz master?
Very pretty piece for a lot less. Also available in rose gold I believe

Hi,
A colleague friend of mine is looking to buy his first 'decent' watch, he is keen on this (retail £2750):
Just wondering if you good people know of any alternatives he could consider?
Thanks!
Mark

Could almost get a nice used Omega aqua terra for similar price. I got my first ever Tag Heuer arriving tomorrow. Very curious to see how I feel about it. Never really given the brand much notice till now. They tend to get a bad press but hey, who doesn't. This is the incoming

He could get a cv2010 chronograph new for that price, it's only a few hundred more rrp.
The history of the carrera is such that I don't think I'd entertain a three hander.
If he must though, he should be pushing to get that as close to £2k as possible.
First produced in 1964.
Heuer were heavily into motorsports throughout the sixties and seventies. Practically all of their collectible vintage pieces are chronographs
Theres lots of very knowledgeable people who can tell you far more than me.
Second hand you can pick them up for £12-1500.
There's quite a few chronographs in the range, my favourites are the CV2010/2014 or the CV2110/11.
They're currently a little cheaper than the speedy but a good alternative.
