What's the model number of the red bezel snowflake?
mike
79220r it's just the bog standard black bay red with the ETA in it. The inhouse replaced the rose on the dial with a shield and the curved text at bottom of dial got straightened. The silver style at the front is on sale on eBay at moment. Bought it cos it was listed as 38mm but it's 41mm. Should sent it back but thought I could live with it. Can't

I too am not a fan of the snowflake hand but I actually quite like the watch, I could possibly get over the snowflake!

Here's a few shots of my Tudor Black Bay S&G.
Some seem to be put off by the fact that the centre links are not solid gold, but as you can see from one of the photos the gold capping is quite thick so I doubt it will wear off easily...if at all. And if they were actually solid gold I bet the price would have been much higher.
It's a substantial watch and in fact wears very similar to my 216570 Polar. The thick caseback takes some getting used to at first but not a deal breaker.
Accuracy has been phenomenal for the few days since I bought it...gaining 0.5sec/day average so I'm perfectly happy with it.
BTW, that's my photo OP captured and used in the original post

Looks better each time I see it. Yeah at least I made reference to it appearing elsewhere. Wasn't laying claim to it lol

For me I knew it's the Black Bay I've wanted all along since it's announcement at Basel. I've held off getting the Black Bay Noir since it became available...the lack of a date meant it won't be an every day watch for me.
Funny thing is, despite the seemingly substantial measurements, the Black Bay actually wears smaller on my wrist than the BLNR and the Submariner that I tried on and never purchased. The heavily tapered lugs of the Black Bay hides the size of the watch nicely and while it gives very, very good wrist presence it never strikes as disproportional.

I just have the black bay red so am kind of torn whether I can justify having another. Got other Tudors but very different to the black bay (blue chrono, Pelagos and Ranger). It's on my radar but then so is the steel bezel one. Chrono, not so much.

No. My rose Eta still runs at +2, and COSC watches I have are less accurate than when bought. Such is the natural cycle of a mechanical machine with such small tolerances. The has history and the shield does too but it's more... the eta one had the "smiley" text , it had the non faux riveted bracelet and I think it's a MM thinner? Might be wrong on the last but if true-well the black bay rides quite high as it is.

The gold steel black bay is stunning and the snow flake hand is what makes the Tudor different to its
Big brother Rolex

A few slightly more "proper" shots...

Pics are fantastic - going to have to try one on. I actually prefer the tone of the gold over a Rolex

I like it! The other BBs don't really do it for me on bracelet (they are stunning on leather), but this looks like it'll work well on both.
Am I the only one who also likes the rivet bracelet?
Now torn between this watch and the new Rolex Dateadjust with black face. Do I make it Tudor 2, Zenith 1 or Zenith, Tudor and Rolex. Decisions, decisions.
Those bracelets.... they kill the Tudors completely for me.
Tudor plays too much on their past to be relevant.
I have several Tudor. Love them but only got one Rolex, a nice wee datejust. Really pining for a sports Rolex but just can't get the cash quite together (translates as gets impatient and buys something else before he gets the cash accumulated). This Tudor might also get in the way of my sports Rolex lol. I like the bracelet too and it's not like the plating of old. It's pretty darned thick

This is the black bay that I want

And the addition of the date is a huge improvement too

I have 4 Rolexes (6694 Oysterdate, 16014 Datejust, 214270 Explorer & 216570 Explorer II) and now 4 Tudors (75090 36mm Submariner, 79270 PrinceDate chronograph, 79910 Ranger & 79733 BB S&G)...can't seem to get enough of them.
Over the years the Oyster cased sports models have proven to me as highly reliable and almost fit for all occasions...except for the ultra rare, formal event that I seldom attend...where I do have a Cartier to cover that once in a blue moon need.
Regarding the new Tudor 2-tone bracelet I doubt the gold is applied by a plating process, which would lead to a much thinner gold layer. According to this article by Hodinkee the gold is 0.25mm thick at the bracelet links...and that's much thicker than any plating process would give (usually ~20 microns, or 0.02mm, for jewelry/watch applications).

Hi RustyBin5
My comment was about the bracelet, not Tudor relying on past history.
As it happens, in the case of Tudor, I think that they pay great respect to their 1950s Subs etc.. in their current design details which is a really good thing.
FWIW, I am rather underwhelmed with the Omega First in Space / First on the Moon line to justify mans LEs. I mean, how good does a watch have to be to "survive" in space ?
I would like it better if it wasn't thick as a brick. Tudor differentiate themselves from Rolex by a distinct lack of elegance.I would like it better if it wasn't two-tone.
I could live with the 2 tone bracelet, but the thickness puts me right off.
