Wow!
Had a good innings, but still sort of a shock.
RIP indeed Roger.

Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Was watching one of his bond movies the other day :-( The one where he uses a Rolex bezel to cut a rope (Live and Let Die). Depressing getting to your 40s and all your 80s and 90s Film/music stars start to drop off.

What a shame, I thought he would live forever.
I've read many biographies and nobody ever had a bad word to say about Sir Roger, which speaks volumes.
RIP Sir Roger.
Cheers,
Neil.
A class act, will be sadly missed. And today of all days with the awful bombing in Manchester - we all need to 'keep Britain's end up' now

Moore talking about Niven. Two great characters.
Sad news but a good innings, from modelling knitting patterns to 7 Bond movies, The persuaders, and The Saint.
RIP Roger Moore, I enjoyed your films.
Yes it's like a double whammy : terrorists on the one hand and the secret agent who normally fights them

RIP you great man of style. The Saint was my favourite during the sixties.
We have hit the age where our boyhood heroes are no longer immortal.
RIP Sir Roger and thanks for being one of my childhood heroes.
Being James Bond won't make you irresistible to all women but it will make you Roger'Moore...

I remember watching him in Ivanhoe on ITV when I was a little kid. He always came across as a caring person, was a great ambassador for Unicef. RIP Sir Roger.
My favourite Bond too. I liked his talentless talent and always enjoyed his films and tv. It was good to see him with Brian Pern too. Shows he hsd that typically British affinity for self deprecating humour.
Top Bond and by all accounts a thoroughly nice bloke.
Lord Brett Sinclair... now up there drinking martinis with that brash American... RIP Sir... :( sad week this one.

RIP old bean, and thanks for many wonderful and enjoyable hours myself and my loved ones spent and will be spending watching your films!

He was my second favorite Bond. But you must understand that I was a wide-eyed 15 year-old boy when I walked into the Orpheum theater for the opening of "Dr. No" fifty-some years ago. Sean Connery IS James Bond!
Farewell, Sir Roger!
My (now deceased) best mate went on holiday with his dad to Malta in the mid-late 70's and met Roger Moore and Lee Marvin in the bar of their hotel. After finding they were there filming "Shout At The Devil", they had a good drinking session. My mate said he and his dad were out-drunk by both actors and had to retire, too wasted to carry on. He said they were both great guys, very friendly.
The best bond in my humble opinion RIP
