I went to an engagement party last night, so told to the wife that I would take the opportunity to do a bit of discreet watch spotting. There was a guy at the bar in a Seamaster, but that was about it - not a sniff of much else.
Apologies if this has been done already, I read One of the Speedy threads that went a bit this way...
I've always got an eye out when I am out and about.
Bought a Pizza from a Sub Date wearer last week, saw a Pepsi GMT in T K Maxx and today spotted my First Royal Oak.
It's not always easy to get a good gander without making it obvious !
What have you seen out and about ?

Went to the Jorvik Viking Centre a couple of weeks ago and noticed a guy in the shop wearing a SD4000 on leather, looked good as well.

I was at a Wedding last week, thought I'd spotted what looked like a Day-Date on a Jubilee but I couldn't confirm, could have been a Longines or a Tissot.
Also thought I'd spotted a Milgauss, but think it was a newish Oyster Date.
Sad but it makes me happy !

Saw husband and wife on the bus wearing two tone royal oaks. Pure class
I play wedding gigs most weeks (mostly upmarket affairs) so you would imagine there may be a lot of wrist candy on display but in the last four years I've only seen 2 Submariners (both pre-ceramic) and a steel Daytona (pre-ceramic). Oh, and I once saw a Oyster Perpetual on a bridesmaid.
I recently saw a two tone Sub in my local Co-Op and one of the ladies on the checkout at my local Morrisons was wearing a two tone lady Datejust.
I saw a mid-age guy wearing a rolex submariner two tone-blue dial at the grocery shop yesterday, was impossible not to detect it as he had his sleeve almost under the watch.
I think subs, omega seamasters and breitlings are the most predominant watches at Newcastle.
I was in Sakhalin once and saw a black bear carrying a human forearm in its jaws, that had a battered Casio on it.

Went to a beer festival last year... Just on the bar staff I saw a Pepsi GMT, Daytona and VC - the model of which escapes me, but similar to the one on SC at the moment.
Had a chat with a friend whose business is on the estate, turns out they were sons of the (rather large) estate owner.
Oh, and to probably top them all... A F P Journe at Peppa Pig World!
Through my business I do see some nice watches..
I quite often ask about them too once I have struck up conversation, recently seen the Thrust SSC/Bloodhound team all wearing Rolex, from Explorers, new Airking, to a really nice Daytona.. not only do they go fast but they have good taste in watches!
Most watches I see in the wild are modern Rolex/Omega and there is a lot out there.. I look for the more quirky/vintage watches as they have more of a story rather than seen it in Goldsmiths and liked it...

Must admit I see too many in all the meetings I go to and some of the clients we have are so big they give things like Navitimers to staff after a few years in Management and stuff like that, so everyone has a nice watch on?!
One I did notice the other day, as I noticed it last year was when we went to a classic car show the burger bar/stand had two guys who were cooking burgers on a large smokey BBQ' with one wearing a Rolex 16610 and the other wearing a Rolex GMT(black bezel)
I noticed a bloke coming out of TGI's the other day with an original LV on!! I must have a Rolex radar as I don't notice much else, or maybe that's just a sign of how good Rolex PR is when everyone has one!!

Singapore is watch spotting gold.
Just in the last week I have seen an AP ROO Diver and Safari, several Moonwatches and endless Rolexes, mostly Sub dates with a couple of Deep Seas. My favourite spot though was a Nautilus Chrono (blue face) in the supermarket queue on Saturday.
Currently working with a client in the City, so a fair smattering of decent watches to see. A typically safe mix of Rolexes (Subs and Explorers) and Omegas (POs and older Seamasters)...

I rarely see nice watches in the wild, but i did meet a colleague last week that was sporting a lovely Pelagos.
A client has a bit of a thing for watches, I've seen him wear panarai, ROO chrono, a few pateks (nautilus, aquanaut and possibly a calatrava), it's always fun to try and get a subtle gander at what's under his cuff.
A social circle I sometimes pal around with has another ROO (possibly fake knowing the guy) and a seamaster pro in it.
One of the field engineers I work with has a vintage datejust (i'm not a rolex guy so i'm not sure what exactly)
After buying those I reckon they'll be taking the bus a lot! Lol! Good on them, I say!

I helped unload a theatre set on Saturday morning & the delivery driver was wearing an Seiko SKX007 complete with Z22 rubber strap :)
Spend a lot of the time in Winter in Malaga/Marbella etc and it's a case of who is NOT wearing a Rolex.
I was at a work training event last week and spotted loads:
Breguet Type XX
Panerai Submersible - not sure which model
Bi-metal Rolex Sub
SS Rolex Sub
SS Rolex YM (the classic with rhodium dial / WG bezel)
A few Omega SMPs
A few TH Carreras
Bloke next to me was wearing a Bi-metal GMT IIc and one of his mates was texting him watch pictures which gave me an opportunity to chat. He'd spotted my IWC Spitfire Chrono.
I noticed a chap today wearing an Omega Planet Ocean.
Particularly unusual (and this is a genuine observation rather than an attempt at humour) was that he had a guide dog.
I'm not sure if the Planet Ocean is particularly easy to read if you are partially sighted, though there may be loads of possible reasons why a blind (or seriously sight impaired) man would choose an Omega
Last Friday morning on my usual commute into Leeds a lady in her 20s got on wearing a 116613LB two tone sub. It looked huge on her as she was only just over 5 foot tall and slim. She topped it off with a Louis Vuitton bag that must have cost almost as much. Ohh and a nose ring - weird, or am I old.
Needless to say I didn't ask her about it re the other thread!

I spotted a lady in my local supermarket wearing the platinium Daytona, flaberghasted
I regularly see people wearing 'premium' brand watches when travelling etc but never get in to a discussion. A few people have probably caught me glancing at their watch now and then though haha.
I think it would be a safe wager that she wasn't wearing it to be inconspicuous......

I'm often doing this, even got my missus involved.
Work theres - Bremont MB2, White Steel Daytona, AP Royal Oak Diver, Rolex Yachtmaster, all these are worn by bosses of mine, who know I'm in to watches and often have discussions. We've had new guy start also, think I've clocked a Seiko SKX009 on blue nato definitely got to be a WIS!
New coffee shop in town, owner seems to be wearing some GMT Panerai, struck up conversation he say's he's a collector and also spotted at Sub another time on him.
When shopping usually spot people's Subs.
Did see someone on my last holiday wearing a base Panerai & U Boat U47 in the check in line should've struck up conversation as never seen one of them in the wild.
As I'm a Panerai fan usually clock people wearing these!
This could be a regular thread for me working in London. On the tube today a GMT LN.
Trans Pennine Express Manchester to Edinburgh last week ...
A Trans-Pennine driver (his badge denoted that) joined @ Preston and left @ Carlisle (presumably he had to pick a train from there ...).
Wearing a Ceramic Sub ...
I was wearing my '95 14060 so not entirely out classed I suppose - but wonder what 30 years as a train driver instead of 30 years in IT might permit me to buy me?
Lot of Pateks on the Tube into central London in a morning

Saw 3x BLNR on my commute in yesterday!
Deepsea at School sports day today.
You guys are all talk
Where are the stalker pics?
Just spotted a BLNR at London City Airport - first one that I have seen in the flesh. I would ruin those polished centre links very quickly!

Wis dilemma number 63:
How do you ogle a guys watch without looking like a wrist pervert?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Spotted a bloke wearing a sub in the swimming pool last night. I did wonder whether it was authentic (water resistance) as every time I looked over he was checking it out! Either that or he'd just got it.
on the tube in Taiwan I spotted a lady with a GMTII LN on, and the same watch on a guy on the plane on the way
Straight after I picked up my D-Blue I went to Nando's feeling pretty epic.
There was a kid on the table next to me with a black DeepSea on. Then his dad sat down with a £600k Bubba Watson Richard Mille on. His mrs had some kind of Pearl Master.
Getting close to £700k worth of watches sat next to me eating chicken. Was a strange day.
Once saw a blue dial Yachmaster on the tube, bit in your face that watch especially with his watch hand on the pole, it felt a bit too showy for 8am in the morning
