I am not sure you see this up or down as would most.
A stainless steel bracelet is generally more 'sportive' than a leather strap.
Btw have you considered having the glass bubble on the crystal removed? That would go some way to dress it down.
Hi Guys, I have been wearing my OP Date pretty much non stop for the past month or so since I got it, love it! I am however looking do dress it down a bit with a strap rather than the lovely bracelet.
I am thinking brown leather as it should go with the grey dial, what do you think?
It has to be a short strap though, I have an 18mm Omega Brown Leather strap which is 85mm/115mm (IIRC) which is spot on length wise.

It probably better than an OAP date.
Probably.
I'd recommend getting one from a Rolex service centre, they are not too bad on price and you can get the proper buckle.
Roughly £45 for the buckle, £80 for a calf leather strap, £175 for a lizard strap and £280 for alligator.
Think it would look really nice on a leather strap.
To stay in Rolex terminogoly; you are just jealous that you cannot have it
To the point: Not yet. Sofar only ERPs. One, in Granada, owns a sizeable island far upstream in the Amazon basin. My son was rather cross with me when we terminated the relationship.
Interminably? Nah, we all die sooner or later and that is exactly the point why I do live the 'area' to the max.
Well, of course you can dream, yes. One day perhaps the spouse might let you.
As to me I have been ER and in the area all century yet not quite OAP.
On that subject I will live the future when I get there but the older you get the more cake there is to have and eat. The blue* pills are reputed to support the latter if needed.
* the lady owner of the local pharmacy that the latest crop comes in white, heart shape and with peppermint taste.
I ordered 5 kilo of lubricant gel through her and we have a running gag ever since.
That's funny, because i'd like to give a dressing down to the OP.
In the forum world we use the acronym OP to refer to the Original Poster (i.e. typically the forum member who starts a thread). Try not to confuse us by inventing new acronyms. Most of us are old and easily bewildered.
Thank you.
Surely OP would be initials as opposed to an acronym as to be an acronym the initials must be said as a word? E.g. Laser is an acronym, brb is an abbreviation to initials. For 'OP' to be an acronym you'd have to say it like the abbreviation for 'operation'.

If someone is going to get patronising about semantics and use the incorrect word in that patronising post, then they obviously need a quick lesson.
Apologies for your boredom.

Who said dressing down?

This whole thread is bewildering. A message to the OP (correct usage!)... your Rolex will look good on a leather strap, peculiar on a rubber strap and dreadful on a NATO. There. Sorted.
Oh, and please stop encouraging 'cilla to talk about his love life, it's gross and not about Watch Talk...

These watches can look great on leather straps. This is a RIOS Cordovan, but this might be a bit too long (82/114) for the OP:
But there are plenty of 19mm straps around. One detail to look out for, though: many taper to 18mm, which I find makes the strap look too wide for the 34mm watch. I'd look for a strap that tapers down to 16mm.
I was thinking grey alligator and then I saw this grey suede one and I think it would look amazing on your grey dial op
