Seems to be a shortage of AP on this thread - let's change that.
A little late to the party. :)

Vintage Seamaster with tropical dial for me today...
I like the strap, but don't see it on Eddies site. Is it a current version?

My new G-Shock:
It's funny how tastes change, 5 years ago I would never have bought a watch like this, now I love it!
There is a little horology project there in the background! (Note to self: Need to straighten the RH yellow LED!)

I was incredibly lucky. I went into the boutique asking for one of these
but these are all sold out for this year. They have put me down for the next one available.
The boutique had just received the new ceramic chrono so it was a case of being lucky. So I tried it on and compared it to a couple of other AP models - the new chrono in 18K yellow gold with blue dial and the AP diver (not unfortunately the new coloured dial ones).
Of these three watches, it was the one that sang to me. Very very comfortable on the wrist - I have a 7.25 inch flat wrist and the watch fits perfectly. The pink gold hands and markers really stand out against the black tapisserie dial as do the blue tipped subdial hands and main chrono second hand. Being ceramic it should be relatively immune to one of the bugbears of Royal Oak ownership - scuffs and scratches as there are very few materials that will scratch it - diamond being one. It has rapidly become one of my favourite watches.
Longines Expeditions Polaires... there're some wonderful pics taken by Jocke of this model: http://www.watchwallpapers.com/longe.htm
also a great review here: https://teeritz.blogspot.ro/2011/10/...-polaires.html
Thanks! :)
