Possibly off to Vienna first week in March for an extended city breaks so after some recommendations on hotels, sights to see and places to eat (and things to avoid).
Will be staying somewhere very central and travelling mostly on foot as the other half hates public transport!
Not really after posh accommodation or food just good old fashioned value for value for money.
Cheers

Fantastic City. I can highly recommend the Hilton on the Danube, we were there for three nights and it was great, nice Restaurant and breakfast buffet. We visited Schloss Schönbrunn, for which you should plan in a day, very lovely place. The Cafe Sacher is a must, faulous chocolate cake and 19th century atmosphere. Loads of other sights. Be careful of the hop on hop off busses, prices vary.
