I bet it wouldn't take 3 to 5 days to reverse a transaction if they paid you twice for a watch.

thats annoying that taken 2 payment out! slow paying back will be due to BACs as companies dont seem to like to send money via the 'usual' instant way most people use.

Still get your excitement of the new watch!

Well only upside to the double payment was I'd paid for the Watch so picked it ip an hour ago instead of Weds and they are creating the "trade in" next week.

    Pic to follow

    Indeed! ;)

Lovely watch. I really like this combination, or the white dial, or on the bracelet - but couldn't do the other variants.
It's just a matter of time...

    Sorry that sounded unintentionally flash.

    To clarify

I agreed the price and was swapping a Watch in so the payment I made was half the cost and the other half was the trade in.

So when they took two payments it coincidentally covered the total cost and they will be crediting me the value of the trade in next week.

Wasn't ideal but at least I picked it up yesterday - every cloud.....

Will post some more pics of update SOTC soon. Haven't taken it off yet
    (funnily enough:-)

    Cheers all

Don't worry, it didn't come off as flash - it's just the thought of being hit by such a bill - Twice! Especially if not expected/planned for.

I'm really liking that watch, but I'm consoling myself with a few much cheaper watch purchases :(

After giving the Skydweller some time it just wasn't me.

Bit too big and just didn't feel special enough.

Weird how you can really really want something then now gel with it.

It's now gone and I am just going to stop mucking around and find a PP--5712

    To be continued......

    Cheers

Oh wow, didn't feel special enough. I guess Rolex can only do so much.

I would have the same problem with the size.

Are you sure the 5712 is for you? Not my cup of tea, but I know it has a big following on here.

You could always see what comes out at Baselworld in late March - something.may take your fancy.

How long was the Skydweller "defo the one"? :p

..just saying as a guy who's desires are now satiated within a week of a major purchase.

It's great that we have such a good range of tastes and aspirations on here. I was having kittens about the price when I bought my 1st automatic watch - a Seiko 5 and now I'm having kittens about eying up Speedmasters. I guess us watch freaks are never truly happy and there's always a new grail.

    Keep posting joethetoe
