Abomination.
I own one, is simply a waste of $100+.
I have done some research on this brand before and found it quite shocking to be honest.
Their entire range, retailing in the region of $135 per watch, can be purchased on Alibaba for approximately $5. Search 'minimalist watch' and you will see most of them listed in the first pages. I don't mean a similar model, or a customised generic watch, I literally mean the identical watch (same colour dial, same hands, same strap etc.) with the addition of the logo. Their 'design innovation' is basically whatever the factory in China came up with before MVMT Watches was even a thing.
They advertise primarily on Instagram and via other social media. The worst thing is, people clearly will pay for these. The power of marketing I guess. Somebody is making a lot of money!
Basically a rehash of the Daniel Wellington business model. There are others who do this too.
It looks like the kind of thing you would get free with a full tank of petrol.
They're all over Facebook. Alongside many, many other very similar brands.
Will sucker a few in I suppose but quite clearly a very cheap watch that's trying to be a fashion watch (which also seems to want to think it's luxury too!)
Without mentioning the markup - could it not be the case of 1 going out the front door and 5 going out the back?
I couldn't look past the numbers being oriented differently above and below the centre line. That's weird. A shame, because they sponsor my favourite podcast so although they're never going to be for me I'd hoped they wouldn't be garbage.
I doubt it - they have a website with a lot of flowery language and are very vague about production but looking around social media - a lot of their watches are dead out of the box or break within days - just what you'd expect with a $5 watch. They just pick their watch and tell the maker to slap on the logo.
Sh1te.
lol, just found most of them on ali.
It's cheap tat, isn't it...
