Hello to all TZ-UK Forum members!
I have been collecting watches for only a short(ish) time, I now have four in my collection the most recent of which arrived today. I never believed watches could become so addictive, as soon as I get a new watch i'm already planning the next purchase... although i'm sure you know that feeling quite well. Always looking in shops, both new and used stores, and borderline obsessed about what others are wearing and talking watches - my wife deserves a medal, but I actually bought her a watch for Christmas! Haha
I like watches with a bit of history / heritage, although at the same time any watch that catches can be a winner. I am quite cautious about what I buy as I can often 'go off' things quite quickly from a design perspective so clean lines and simple is generally a safer bet, although one of my watches really did surprise me when I saw it in the flesh so I decided to go bold.
This seems to be a superb and friendly forum and I hope I will be able to expand my watch knowledge and collection surrounded by like minded folk!
Now the bit of fun... When I put my watches together to photograph, not an easy task in itself, I thought why not take one with just the Lume and see if you guys can guess my collection so far. Somehow I don't think you are going to have much trouble, although you could try being as exact as you dare as this introduction might contain pointers. I will update the post with the answer 'photo' once you seem bored of guessing, or if nobody guesses at all by the morning.
Watch 1 - Top Left
Watch 2 - Top Right
Watch 3 - Bottom Left
Watch 4 - Bottom Right

Great intro OP and judging by what's probably creating all that lovely lume, a fantastic collection too!
Think EJL25 might have guessed most/all of them although No. 4 looks like the most recent Rolex Expl 2, rather than the 40 mm version. But black or Polar...
Great post and welcome on board
Jon
Welcome from another Naaarich resident.
1. Monster
2. Omega?
3. Speedy
4. Modern sub date
Welcome to the forum and great 1st post....I will it to my learned colleagues to guess the watches in your Lume photo.
Welcome! That's a great introduction - very creative.
My guess
1. Seiko Monster
2. Omega Speedmaster - unsure of variation
3. Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch
4. Rolex Deep Sea Sea Dweller
Lovely intro.
More importantly and Norwich based by the looks, you have some great TZ chaps close by in and around the city, with one of the forums best nearby although away at the mo.
We must be due for our bi-annual Norwich GTG this year so watch this space.
Welcome and enjoy

Firstly, welcome! Great and imaginative first post.
I can see a Seiko and a Rolex. Maybe an Omega in there, too.
Do you live somewhere that is sunny or do you have a good torch?
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Welcome, I think you are going to fit in well!
Could be miles out but I'm guessing:
1 Seiko Monster
2 Bulova Moonwatch
3 Omega Speedmaster Professional
4 Rolex Submariner
Good intro and welcome.
The monster was the easiest for me.
I was flummoxed by 2 but looks like it is indeed a Bulova.
Speedmaster Pro. A classic for any collection and cannot be a Snoopy which has more detailed Lume (like the Snoopy for example!).
Submariner Date. Size looks marginally smaller than the Speedy so that dismisses the Deep Sea. The bezel pip means it has to be a Sub/SD rather than a GMT or Exp 2.
Nice, focused collection.
Hello and welcome to the forum.
Excellent first post.
I thought that I would be able to work out your 4. But could definitely manage one - Rolex and guessed that one of the others would be an Omega.
Look forward to a day light photo :)
Welcome to the forum .
Welcome to the forum. Great picture. I don't think i've ever seen what the lumes are like on my watches in complete darkness.
Well done Mr Curta, although you didn't get the Green and Orange! hahaha
I think the Bulova was the tough one out of the lot, guess because it's newer.
1. Seiko Monster Orange - SRP309
Bought this a few years back, don't wear it very often but it certainly doesn't gather dust either. Great watch for the money, build quality is stunning.
2. Bulova 'Moonwatch' - 96B251
Tried the bracelet version on and it seemed huge so it put me off, I only have puny 6 3/4" so it looked weird. However, randonly tried it on the strap (nato) and thought it looked great. Get to the Moon for less than a Omega bus ticket.
3. Omega Speedmaster Professional - 3570.50.00
This is the one that got me started, 40th Birthday present. I knew NOTHING about watches and did tons of research into all popular makes / models and plumped for this. It was such a great descision, I love this watch even though I feel it wears bigger than everything else I own (to date!). I love winding it, helps me stay fit. I love the story, although i'm sure my wife is sick of hearing me tell people. I bought it local through a great AD had a fantastic experience and even managed to get 22% off. This is the trigger to my watch collection hobby.
4. Rolex Submariner - 116610LV (Hulk)
This was a hard watch to buy... I so nearly went black / no-date, then black date and finally tried on the LV - it was like 'wow' I LOVE this! I bought really well and knowing that made it safer if I went off the colour and wanted to flip it... but I haven't yet. Only had it a year but already seen the prices move strongly although it's a keeper. This was the one I referred to in my introduction in terms of colour, I think people assumed the Monster. The build on this is stunning, the bracelet alone is a tank, love the glide lock too as I always seem to struggle to get the right fit.
I'm not precious about any of them, they all get worn regulary and in all situations. I know I mention prices but it's purely from the added satisfaction it gives knowing you have bought well, i'm sure that won't be lost on most people. I'm now on the lookout for a dress watch, funds permitting i'm aiming for a JLC Reverso, but not sure which one - but without hardly anything towards one I have tons of time to research - thats the fun after all
Thanks for all the welcomes and guesses.
