It's been a while - new Omega arrival

Funds have been somewhat limited for a while, however the amazingly generous offer by Ryan (ryanb741) to help forum members with purchases at Omega and Breitling (at frankly excellent discounts) was to good to not take up. Subsequently, as of today, I am the proud new owner of a watch that I've wanted for a good few years. I first tried on the Speedmaster FOIS (First Omega In Space) back in 2013 if memory serves. It's been an itch that needed scratching ever since! I read many reviews here On TZ-UK over the years and seen many great photos, so there is not much really to add to the plethora of information already about. I did, however, want to write this post primarily to thank Ryan for all the effort he went to (for a complete stranger!) even going to the AD and checking the watch was up to scratch personally before it was posted out. It's arrived just in time to really make this a great Xmas! :-)

I really should have waited to open it, but well...... I couldn't

So here are a few quick unboxing pics:

Wishing you all a very merry Xmas also

What a lovely watch . The brown strap really sets it off well. That's a watch to enjoy .

Thanks all. Can't stop staring at all the details. So well executed. The perfect blend of old and new and exactly the right size for my small wrists. Love the leather strap on it too - really comfortable. All in all I think I'm going to be wearing this one a lot. :-)

For me, the speedie is probably the best all-round watch. Big claim of course, but it just 'works' as a design, and the price is not too outrageous. A stone-cold modern classic.
