Thanks!, but I already have two, so I guess I will pass.
Hopefully of use to someone - I just saw that Secretsales have a selection of Ball watches at 42%-50% off.
Thanks!, but I already have two, so I guess I will pass.
Thanks very much - on my way over there now.
I quite like Ball watches - I don't own one currently but have been tempted a couple of times...
These are good prices. Anyone know how Secret Sales operate? Where do they source the watches for example?
Customer service is appalling in my experience. They sent me the wrong watch, in the last heads up the Braun Prestige. Told me they were unable to
give me the correct watch despite it being on a new offer.
Absolutely no sympathy at all from them or any effort at all from them to fix their error. I had ordered my watch & waited 5 weeks for it.
On the new offer people were getting their order within 1 week.
Just pray you get a correct order and it works fine. Another member here recieved their Quartz Braun and it didn't keep correct time.
Buyer beware, unfortunately!
Wouldn't bother with secret sales Ernest Jones normally do a 50% sale now and again with Ball watches included. Always think of Ball watches as the same as Christopher Ward not good value unless bought 50% off.
Only they are much better watches than CW and some models are an absolute bargain at 50% off
It's just a matter of time...
Much better than CW. Deep discounts are pretty common - They always appear in the EJ sale as mentioned above. Some are stonking value *at their discounted prices* - the skin diver was on an uber sale a while back and very good indeed for the money.
Just as a counter view, I see no reason to automatically elevate Ball watches above those of CW.
Unless you are doing a watch by watch comparison, then such a statement as 'Ball are much better than CW' is pretty meaningless.
They use the same base movements, only CW have an in house movement to call on now too, the cases on the ones I've owned are pretty similar too. The legendary 'tube' lumed on the Ball was also done pretty well on some early CWs.
They've both made some pretty ugly watches at times as well!
Where you place Ball vs CW on a branding/cachet level is of course a personal thing.
Having owned several watches from both brands, I've realised that there are still better watches for me out there, even at 50% off.
