Hubsan x4 off Amazon. Cheap but if he takes to it... bags of fun.
With Christmas approaching I'm looking at a drone as a gift for my nephew who is 11
He will probs play with it a few days then box it so not wanting to go crazy
But want something decent
What budget buys are there that are decent?
eBay looks a minefield

Here you go : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...ords=hubsan+x4
If you want better and he is likely to be quick to learn... BLADE nano. About £80 but super stable and really good fun.
Again a vote for the Hubsan X4, can't go wrong with them
That Hubsan X4 does look good, and amazingly good value.
Is there anything similar ready to go with a camera fitted?
Not looking for Pro standard, just simple fun to get pics/video of the house etc.

If you guys need any small extras for Christmas, I highly recommend you buy an extra battery or two. They only last a few minutes but take over half an hour to charge. Plenty of them on ebay, but buy genuine. Just a few quid each.
This is great advice, got a Syma drone for my 12 year old son last Christmas and battery life is very short (like the majority of these cheaper drones). We bought an extra 6 batteries and multi charger from ebay and it makes it so much better to be able to have a longer flying session. Changing batteries on the go is very easy although slightly fiddly.
Just got this from go groupie.

Say I wanted to splurge about £200.00 as a toy for myself,
Long ish battery life and ability to go around 500 Mt from control, any thoughts?
