    Blue ceramic Bathyscaphe chrono

I just stumbled across this on the web. Bathyscaphe chrono in blue ceramic:

I have to say I really like it.

Ditto. Really love the colour and the grey ceramic bezel. Terribly expensive though...without the iconic cachet of its bigger brother

Not keen on the idea of Ceramic cases, but still think that's the mutt's nuts.
Wasn't sure about the combination of grey dial and blue case when I first saw it, but love it now.

They didn't put a price up in the article. Any idea what this will be retailing for?

The blue looks fantastic. I have the 'vanilla' 3 hand steel Bathyscape and the build quality, dial and movement are exceptional. But these are watches to buy second hand when their eye watering RRP have been somewhat clipped!

Mine is on the Blancpain NATO and I enquired about the new X-70 bracelet out of curiousity. Two and a half thousand pounds!

Probably looks pretty good in person but for me I think I'll file that one in the strange bucket.

proby24 - if you do source a bracelet in future and want to move the Nato on please let me know.

Is this the rise of ceramic cases? There are a number of manufacturers using it now. This is a very nice watch indeed, the colours work beautifully but I wonder how a bracelet would work with that and what colour and material it is.

The steel cased version is around the £10K mark (rrp), so guessing in the £15k region.

Unfortunately the pre-owned examples of the Chrono are currently like hens teeth, so probably best to go grey.

Price added – $20.1K, with a $1K donation by Blancpain to marine conservation.

By comparison, how much was AP’s Ceramic Diver, the 15707…£18.5-20K?
Hublot’s Ltd Ed Ceramic Meca-10 is ~$20K – so the price is pretty much in line with those others, as far as case material goes.

Not sure about those nipples -.-"

But I find the buckle strangely alluring.

I'd rather spend that on a Rindt Autavia.

Why bother making the watch nice and neat and mostly symmetrical and then stick the date there?

I love it, sadly the bank manager doesn't...

    Lovely!

Didn't think the blue would work but it does, looks good - think I'd still like to see some real life wrist shots when it's released in case it looks a bit plasticky though.

Wow that is one stunning watch! Just gone to the top of my very long list

Apart from the movement, it still looks like a catalogue-component microbrand mess.

    It'll be forgotten soon enough.

I was looking at farm kids posting on respect the bling, and 9k for a solid gold DD Rolex looks awesome "value" in comparison to this, admittedly, beautiful watch

All that blue stuff didn't do to well for UN, at least not on the second hand market.

I wonder what it would look like with the case in black and only the bezel/sub dials in blue. Anyone good in photoshop?
