Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".

All contributors should be very proud in playing their part to make this type of stuff happen.

Well done to all who’ve kept the momentum up and to Edwardo for creating the idea in the first place.

    These things change lives.

    Simply awesome...

As father to a child with special needs I can appreciate first hand the difference things like this make to the lives not only of the children involved, but also to their parents. Knowing that your child is receiving fantastic care because of the generosity of others is so moving.

Well done to everyone who's ever contributed to the fundraiser.

Excellent effort all round and I'd argue this should be a sticky at the top of SC. In fact, any new post on SC should redirect to this prior to posting if at all possible?

Very happy about the outcome and a big thumbs-up to all who contributed.

May I humbly suggest to place a copy of this thread in Sales Corner, there is a certain clientele on this forum who only frequent SC and it would be a real pity if they wouldn't have access to this information.

    Daniel.
I can Echo this, when my daughter needed a car seat that had a rotating base on it, we were quoted £1800 (no VAT on this stuff) the company who supplied it automatically referred us the the 'New Life Foundation' who assessed her, and covered the bill.

they too are a charity and without donations like this, they would not exist,

bravo everyone, and I would also like to thank some of the big hitters in the fundraiser, with some massive donations through raffles etc.

it really does make a difference.

you have raised a lot now Eddie, I think a CBE should be in order ;-)
