I only caught the last 15 minutes but really enjoyed it, fascinating character.
Anyone else see last night's documentary ?
A few things struck me :
a) how much he laughs
B) what a good memory he has of his early years, considering his age and the amount of damage his brain cells have been subjected to over the years
C) I found a couple of things he said really insightful
All in all I really enjoyed it.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I enjoyed it as well I am three years younger than Richards and can remember some rationing, fog/smog and schooling during the fifties watching the coronation on a neighbours tv how many could afford one ?same with cars ,right up the explosion that was the sixties.
The guy looks battered but post war Britain produced some real survivors
I agree - it was a good watch
I view him in a slightly different light now
Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to watch that.
I remember thinking the same thing when I read his autobiography (a book which I highly recommend)... some of the recollections of his youth are extremely vivid and interesting. Very, very fascinating. The early parts were perhaps even more enjoyable than the rock n roll lifestyle bits.
Will watch the show tonight but like others I am amazed at his pin point recollection of events.
His book, Life, a very good read.
Cheers,
Neil.
Keith has a house on a key near me , I had to go to see him on a work context and was impressed by what a nice well spoken bloke he is. Not what I was expecting.

I caught some of it last night on BBC 2 and plan to watch the rest on catch-up as it was very enjoyable. It is also due to be repeated on Friday.
There'a a recent documentary on Netflix called "Keith Richards: Under The Influence" that is also very very good.
On the comments here I chose to watch it earlier this morning. Thoroughly enjoyable and very well put together with the imagery.
Thanks for the heads up.

Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
Keith Richards is a lovely man and one of my personal heroes, I'm a huge Stones fan.
If you enjoyed this documentary read his book called Life, it's a fantastic read.
Saw it last night.
Keith was as usual a good raconteur but not impressed by the slapdash bits of film stuck together, some of which showed the battle of Britain when he was born in December 1943.
The photo's of his family etc were in his book.
Cheers,
Neil.
I really don't like this recent trend for this style of editing with the use of 'filmic' music. There's an hour and a half long documentary visual documentary about the sea and britons' relationship with it on the iPlayer. It's part of the storyville series which is usually excellent, but this style of editing just looks makes it come across like an overlong infomercial for a building society or something.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Gutted i missed this now
