Ed is a local boy, see him in tesco occasionally. Absolute beast and a top lad to boot :)
No doubt he'll go all the way, he deserves to.

Your right, unbelievable.
How often are these guys drug tested?
Wow! That's amazing. As someone of middle age, I'm was wondering what effect this would have on your back later in life?
Impressive indeed. As for the question of effects in middle age, I'm suffering now and I only managed to regularly deadlift 300kg in that bullet-proof period of 25-35.
Sorry to hear that. I've never done anything like that but I can't help wondering how they can build up all the muscle stuff around their backs to stop discs compressing etc whilst doing this.
My back trouble now was caused by lugging pianos around to gigs. But doing Pilates regularly has helped me sort that out.
Eddie is a local lad to me & we used to train in the same gym. He's always been a big strong lad and had the goal of being Worlds Strongestman. Really, really nice guy. He's also been doing some strength and body fat tests recently at Staffs Uni but couldn't physically fit in the 'bod pod' egg which tests your body fat percentage!
Impressive, and if hes following his dream then good for him
I am however reminded of the line from the the Baz Luhrmann song
"Be kind to your knees, you'll miss them when they're gone"
Something I can identify with as I near 60. I make sounds like General Melchett when getting out of a chair or bending down to pick something up. To think that I ran 10 miles a day and cycled a round trip of 40 miles daily to work between the ages of 20 and 30....................

Top man!!
That is very, very impressive.
I got a hernia watching that
Holy cow look at that bar bend!
That's absolutely mad. How much does the suit help?
I'd be too worried about causing a prolapse from deadlifting or squatting. I'll stick to a few bicep curls with the 10kg weights when no one is looking :)
I was there last night and what an amazing moment. 3 strongmen hit 465kg on the night (beating Eddie's old record) and then that!
Deserves all the plaudits he gets, top bloke who has done a lot for the popularity of the sport. 10,000 record crowd last night and to top it off Lawrence Shahlaei (UK) became Europe's strongest man.
A lot for us Brits to cheer about!
