Yes 13 hours is very good. Good recommendation btw
I fell asleep in the cinema watching Independence Day 2. Combination of a hard day, comfy sofas at the cinema and a pretty boring film! Wait for it to be on TV
Yes 13 hours is very good. Good recommendation btw
I recently watched Hateful 8 and was not impressed.
Typical Tarantino style film with plenty of killing/gore, but I just did not really find the plot that engaging.
I also tried the Brothers Grimsby which was quite funny in some parts, but overall I found it to be a bit too 'schoolboy humour' for me.
Two I did enjoy:
The Big Short, as it was something a bit different.
The Grand Budapest Hotel, again as it was quite different.
Also re-watched Million Dollar Baby and had forgotten how good that was.
'the man who knew infinity ' looks good - true story of Srinivasa Ramanujan

'The Fundamentals of Caring' took me by surprise! Paul Rudd really only has one character in his repertoire but I like it. And the Welsh kid is proving to be a fantastic actor and has made some great film choices.
I really enjoyed it and would recommend as a Sunday evening film.
I thought " Embrace of the Serpent " worth watching ,but maybe a minority taste.
New Ab Fab film tonight, hilarious and brilliant.
Heard an interview on the radio the other day about new movie 'now you see me 2', sounded vaguely interesting so having never heard of the first one, gave it a go last night. A little daft, but very enjoyable, will watch the new one.
Brighty
Watched Bait this evening on Netflix. Bloody hell! Its a Brit movie. Short, grim and one you will not forget..........................
On a bit of a war film run at the moment. I thought Hyena Road was quite a good army film about Afghanistan.
A Knight's Tale - This is very old now, but passed me by. Really liked it, fun, funny...a breath of fresh air. Also a little bit in love with the main female lead too, which always helps. ;)
Dads Army
Thought that I would hate it but it was excellent
Eye in the Sky - I watched this the other night and really enjoyed it. I hadn't seen any trailers before hand but had an idea regarding what it's about. Well worth a watch.

Watched a bit of Flight of the Navigator this morning, what a great simple feel good film it is.

SWMBO wanted to watch a 2012 film Ted on Ch4 last night
Something about a teddy bear coming to life is not high on my list of films to watch - however I did find it rather amusing in places and would probably watch the sequal
We went to see Central Intelligence last night.
It's ok but typical of its Genre. The funniest part was the out takes before the credits!
I watched Deadpool last night, that's two hours of my life I won't get back
Aliens was on TV last night, reminded me what a great film it is

Just watching a movie called Keanu, totaly class! the bits about wham (the duo) are great.
Last night I watched Seven Samurai (1954) Kurosawa's 3 1/2 hours epic. I couldn't take my eyes from the screen.
Watched Forsaken last night. Kiefer and Donald Sutherland playing father & son.
Thought it was well done - an old school moral western.

'A Time to Kill'. Quite exceptional.
Started watching Django Unchained last night and am enjoying it so far, very Tarantino.
It's a long film so I will watch the last hour tonight.
Cheers,
Neil.
Animal Kingdom- Aussie ABC tv film; Jackie Weaver, Ben
Mendelssohn (so, so menacing), Guy Pearce, Joel Edgertonn (Blacktown’s finest).
Solid 9/10- great cast, awesome Australiana dirge crime drama, think Chopper, but grimier, and more realistic.
So good, the Yanks had to make a series to follow it up. And a bloody good job they have done of it so far. Padded out the main characters nicely. But Smurf is still Queen Bitch ;)
As for the original film, watch it, mull it over, and discuss, with others who have enjoyed the film, or even with yourself- a great mind bender of a movie.

Me, Earl and the Dying Girl.
We watched it with my 13 year old daughter (it was her turn to choose a film).
Wasn't a dry eye in the house, even though it's actually quite funny in places.
Turns out it won the big prize at last year's Sundance Film Festival.
(You do have to get through the annoying first 10 minutes or so, where it seems to be trying too hard to be quirky).
Went to see Star Trek: Beyond over the weekend. Really enjoyed it - liking the reboot's.
Watched 'Room' on DVD last night.
I can see why Brie Larson got the Oscar, really good film.

Brooklyn. Kind of an old fashioned drama that they don't make so much these days, great film.
I took the kids to watch Ghostbusters the other day and had a very low expectation. To my suprise I found that I quite enjoyed it. It wasn't perfect by any means but it definitely entertained and it was amusing spotting the cameo roles.
