They are a very impressive company. Hence I bought Colin McRae's scooby and some old AM racer as my new daily drivers - brum brum!!
I had the e92 for 6 years and covered 60k miles in it. It's the perfect balance of power vs practicality; because my mileage is pretty low at the moment, it was costing very little to run.
Things I'll miss will be decent boot, folding rear seats, 4 seats, 420(ish)bhp, EDC, front parking sensors, iPod connectivity and German reliability
The AM just feels a bit more 'emotional' - it looks and sounds fantastic. It is slightly down on power and certainly less practical.
Definite case of heart winning over head.
Yes interesting you say that. I had access to the DB9 (looking after it for my uncle who lived abroad) at the same time I had my M3's and on paper and in the real world the M3 was a better car in every way. It was faster, the headlights worked, the nav worked, the bluetooth worked, my M3's were great but the Aston was just such an emotional car which always made me smile when I drove it and always attracted positive comments.
I used to have a '88 325i convertible in dark blue, back when I lived in Los Angeles. It was the perfect car for there. I have very fond memories of driving on the twisty roads up Hollywood Hill with the top down.
I know E30 M3s are all the rage, but I'd really love a regular 325i coupe. For a while I was on the hunt for one, but gave up after seeing only really worn out examples.
Just passed MOT
Driving around Hollywood Hills in one sounds fun. I just made do with the Gloucester countryside, nice day for it.
I just picked up this Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring last week. I'm in the middle of adding a few 'personal touches,' as you can see. I bought a pair of silver roof side rails from the dealer that I painted black with PlastiDip, but I find I'll need the dealer's help to install them. I already applied PlastiDip to the rear emblems, but I still need to do the front "M." I have another black carbon license plate frame on order.
I think that Jag XF is 510 bhp not 410 bhp if it's the Supercharged V8
Bonkers power but you can never have too much
How is it? Some great lease deals on these at the moment!

Had a GT in the late 90’s and was a little hesitant, as it is not the same beast. But, as you say, the deal was too good to turn down, so I ordered and 5 months later, I took delivery.
It’s pretty much what I expected - cool, powerful, but very well put together, with some superb design quirks, roomy and it sounds amazing. Very pleased 500 miles in.
Finally (after 7 years) got rid of the v8 Lexus (very sad to see it go) and we are now a fully hybrid family (as we got rid of the little Suzuki Alto too):
Nowhere near as powerful but, after a scary 6 point/£500 fine incident last year, I can't afford another - so no speeding temptation for me now!
The Yaris is surprisingly grown up for a little car and the Auris is lovely - very comfortable, quiet and economical. 50+ mpg pretty much everywhere without trying.
The little monkey in the middle is my 5 year old - who had just "helped" to clean them :-)
Cheers,
Mark C
Aren't the government increasing the road tax for hybrid cars?
Always loved the Quatroporte and was seriously tempted when I first heard about the Ghibli.
Somehow I'd guessed that was what you were getting by the odd clue you dropped in.
Hope you enjoy it mate.

Had a Panamera diesel courtesy car last year and that did not sound diesel-a-like at all either. Bar the lower redline, you'd be hard pushed to tell much of a difference. Excepting things like the GTS with the switchable exhaust, obviously!
The SQ5 Audi doesn't sound diesel-powered either.
Well, as of yesterday evening, I no longer get to drive this at the weekend.
