Hi Guys
Seen those photos on the Bristol GTG thread? Now there's a challenge!
Anyone up for another MCGTG in March? Kirk has a new venue in mind; not far from "the usual". PM me Kirk.

I`ll try to make this one...provided wifey hasn`t arranged something else!
Paul
Busy couple of months coming up but I missed the last one so I'll do me best!
Go on then Kev - throw a couple of dates at us.
Two good suggestions for a change of venue from Kirk; one in particular is close to "the usual". One a stone's throw (but no food at weekends), the other a ten-minute walk with all you would want food and drink-wise, including cask conditioned ale. At both there is a possibility of our own room if numbers make that viable.
Keep the names coming.
Don't forget the easy transport links from all over the north west of England and West Yorkshire.
Count me in, unless I'm away, depending on the date.
I do owe Kirk a pint, but with interest it's turned into a single malt.
Any more for the GTG, what about dates venue any further on.
We are looking at all March weekends bar 5/6th. Kirk is liaising with the proposed new venue; we will soon have firm dates.
Keep the names coming. The more the private roomier.
Sorry for the slow reply, I'm on holiday over in the wrong side of the Pennines. I presume we're talking about a Saturday? If so the 19th or 26th March are the best for me (the 26th is best, but that's Easter weekend for those of you who believe in all things Jesus, and/ or have family plans that weekend).
I will firm up the venue once we have an ideal date. (New venue, but it has the approval of Alec so it can't be bad! It's also one of regular watering holes).
I'll invite a "forum darling" too...
19th for me.
Saturday 19th anyone?
It's 6 Nations finale, but there's always the Betamax.
There are three games starting about 12.30 I guess.
19th fine for me ....................... if I've not been sectioned.
What's the new venue.
PM on way Fords. It's a good 'un.
For those not attending any of the previous ones, location is not divulged on the Forum. PM Kirk or myself, or indicate on here that you would like to come along and we will PM you with details.
Kirk - if we can have a private room it won't matter too much about the rugby. Tell them we will be in sufficient numbers and see if it's still on.
Annoyingly its my wife birthday on the 18th, otherwise I'd have been there!
I'll try and make this one as well. I fancy a beer so I'll only have one watch ..... The one on my wrist.
I'll check with the social secretary (wifey) to be sure I'm not needed elsewhere
Paul
I never seem to be able to make one of these, hopefully next time, but have a good night!
The new venue is sorted! 12:30 kick off on the 19th Feb. PM me or Alec if you want to know where.
Usual rules apply - don't reveal the venue publicly, or via PM to anyone you can't vouch for.
We can have a buffet or similar - let me know if you have any food allergies.
Spread the word to the usual suspects! I'll stay longer than an hour this time.
Don't go to the old venue by mistake!!
Fords.
Little bump for this gtg. They are usually very good!
I'll be there, as always ...
if it was a week earlier it could be my B'day party :))

Sorry guys, been a bit out of the game recently, lost the mothering law 2wks ago.
I'm 90% sure I'm coming.
Arse, just checked and I'm working that weekend. If I can swap it around I'll certainly be there again.
I'm in.

Good man Paul; if you can make it all the way from the rhubarb triangle then come on you closer members.........
Don't want to gate crash the thread, but might I enquire as to what hi-jinx activities these get-together events command?
We mainly get drunk and talk about watches!
I'm in. Please could someone PM me the meeting point? Cheers
I will PM everyone so far in the next couple of days.
Plenty of room left.
Bring her. Manchester isn't as bad as you may have been led to believe.
The "event" is very sociable; not at all totally watch-geek-obsessed.
I might pop into the venue tonight so I can organise food (they don't normally serve food on Saturdays). Any requests? Big load of hot pot or curry?
Either for me. I'll definitely have some, not bothered what.
Just sorted out the food. Buffet will be served at 13:15, £5 a head. It sounds nice - worm butties, spiders's legs pasta, dead kitten pie (Iberian special).
Right, Its my wife Birthday on the 18th March. We are staying at Malmaison the night of the 18th and going out. Burnley are at home to Wolves at 15:00h on Saturday so I'll be around Manchester till about half one, if anyone is meeting up before then I'll be happy to have a pre GTG GTG ;-)
I'll be there about 12-30 paneristi. I will PM all with the venue to avoid mistakes.
