Have you looked at Victory ?

By far the best looking Harley around, although the new XDiavel(s) might give it some competition ;)
I've ridden a few HDs and don't have unrealistic expectations of their handling, but having said that they really aren't that bad!
My preference is somewhere between a Softail Slim and a Breakout.

+1 for NightRod.........but would buy many, many other bikes first.......
A pre 1995 evo road king. Better than money in the bank.
Sold my old evo electra-glide last september after owning it for a few years. Lovely ride but got fed up with the weight.
Dyna wide glide
its best to get one with stage 2 and as many bits added as possible
better still check out the new Bonnies coming this year

Well, I don't ride a motorcycle and I hate Harleys with a vengeance, but if I had to have something built by Harley, it'd be a Buell!
A bloke I used to fence with had one and even given my lack of interest in motorcycles, I wanted one!
Sadly HD's decision to kill the brand made me hate them even more!

Not safe for work, bit sweary

Kerry, you loving the sportsters after all?
You can mix with the Harley people
Kerry, free up a couple of hours this weekend and get across to the Motorcycle show at Excel.... More than ever before its a Harley fest. Loads of other stuff too, but certainly you can OD on Harley's. I'll get up a few piccies later.
Please don't be a sheep and get a naff 48.
Get a Harley that's got more style and individuality, plus also works out cheaper.
Only an MT350 or MT500...

None.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
I have owned 5 Harley's over many years..... I bought this Liberty Edition shovelhead Superglide new in August 1976, - photo taken the next day:
This is my current Superglide bought new in 2010 with Screamin Eagle Stage IV 110hp conversion. I don't go for bling, but I do like a bit of power:
I should say that in between, I owned an iron head Sportster, an Evo Road King, and a softtail Deuce.

Well I bit the bullet and went for a combination of price and performance and put aside my prejudice and took a 883 Iron as I have had a Dyna and couldn't find a Fat Boy or Street Bob I liked at value\

Good choice... but you London hipsters really need to post some pics!
TT
Will do when finished, so far
Vance & Hines Stage 1
Headlight Grille & Fairing
Rough Crafts Air Filter
Flat Tracker Bars
Just need to change all side covers and add small seat

I am looking forward to this, as I nearly bought one. The only thing that put me off was the weight and that it would be difficult to move around in the shed to get the bicycles in and out.
I still hanker after one and when the weather gets warmer/ I have more time I am going to go ride one properly and consider changing to one. Its a sort of grail purchase for me.
The weight does not make much difference to be honest, its not like 400kg unless you go for a full dress electra glide. The 883 is not that much more than a big Jap or European bike. You can always get a motorbike dolly to store it on, then you can push it around at your leisure. Very handy if you have multiple bikes to store
Buy an Indian instead of a HD. not so many on the road. They go better handle better and strop quicker.
thats gonna upset someone.
Rob
Most people spend a couple of grand on their Harley sorting it out when they get it, so that matters not....if you really want a Harley and not an Indian ;)
What matters is that Indian are significantly cheaper, discounted already in UK dealers, and great VFM.
And yet still, they've not sold more than a couple of hundred bikes in the UK in a few years .....its amazing the brand pull of Harley-Davidson ...similar I guess to trying to pull iphones away from their owners :)
Like Victory (the other Polaris cruiser bike company) who after 13 years have just about sold a months worth of HD sales
/crazy really, I wonder how many years (if at all) it will take for Indian to gain popularity in their home country where >50% of all big bike sales are Harleys.....
the scouts look flipping ace and the new smaller one looks even better
I couldn't ride a 883 as to lanky
Indian is cheeky I have to say, Im turning the Sportster into a west coast inspired beast as I like that Outlaw / Cali look at the minute. Seat arrives tomorrow and a few more tweaks and Ill be happy

True but the old ones are the best for the wall of death, look at the front suspension
how he stayed on I don't know him and Ken Fox are the best at this.
What's the power with that fitted? Love the look but don't think I could manage the lack of power even though I know that's not the point!
That said there's no way I would sell my Street Triple and if I bought a third motorcycle it would be very expensive due to the resultant divorce...

I sold my FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport last summer, owned it for 8yrs and loves it, good combination of looks with an element of performance ( half decent brakes)
From the first time I saw Evel Knievel on TV as a kid I have wanted an XR750...
