the cost of chocolate has gone up so the sizes/price ratio is to be expected over the years
but the crisps situation is nuts - have potatoes gone up in price too at the same rate?
I noticed the other day a Chomp or Finger of Fudge was now 25p. Sure it wasn't that long ago they were 5p (it's probably 20 years)
Space Raiders got smaller and smaller till there was practically nothing left. I think they finally accepted they would have to put the price up and the bag has since grown a little (and gone up in price).
Monster Munch, used to be massive, tiny now
The idea can't be to give us smaller portions because they're now so small only two will suffice.
The arrogant Mondalez and her swarm of beancounters have wrecked Cadburys, they made the supremely ignorant assumption that UK customers will eat any old crap chocolate just like the yanks do. It took time but the wheel of public contempt for their cost-cutting of Cadbury products both in product quality and size is gaining more and more momentum and is now manifesting itself in significantly reduced sales. Kraft just don't get it and the same is now applying to their Cadbury profits.
I saw on the news recently that the profits for Cadbury are down £10,000,000.
