My auto seiko baby tuna because simply it's indestructible.
Also if it came to it I could use it to cave in a zombies head due to its size.
Fun question by the way
A bit of fun for a dull and wet Monday!!!!
Ok, so this is a bit of strange and wonderful question. But if I've learnt anything on here, I'm not alone at being a watch collector and having a love for many watches. I also know many of us wear an array of watches over the period of a week. So what if you were force to choose only one watch to survive a zombie apocalypse with, what would it be?
For me it would have to be my Rolex GMT Master II 116710LN. It is completely reliable (like most Rolexes). Readable at only a glance. Strong and robust. Automatic, so no chance of the battery running out. Water proof (I wouldn't expect more then 100m to be needed). And it has a date function. Last of all I trust it completely. It has never let me down.

Sea-Dweller!
Some sort of solar powered G-Shock type thing with as many features as possible.
Not sure if Bill Rice or Genesis Watchmaking are going to survive the zombie apocalypse to service your Rolex...
That's odd... I'm pretty sure my browser shows "tz-uk.com", but it somehow seems to have navigated to WUS instead.
Was thinking something similar only last night when watching The Walking Dead, which I've just discovered. You'd have the run of the ADs, "Walkers" permitting of course. So would probably pick up a Riseman and a BLNR or DSSD.
A Patek Nautilus.
They are so mind-numbingly ugly that all the zombies would run away from you in fear as soon as they saw it.
12,000m Rolex Deepsea Challenge. Just in case you have to hide in the bathtub.
I'm going to watch a load of zombie movies to see what the surviving characters wear.
I don't think you could do much better than a Speedmaster Pro (preferably a 50th Anniversary edition), or maybe a Seamaster "SHOM".
I challenge anyone to come up with a better watch for Zombie apocalypse than the GW5000.
Completely invincible, runs on some kid of micro arc reactor, lightweight. Just perfect
Anything mechanical will be almost impossible to see when you really need to hunker down underground
Will Smith wore a Swiss Army Victorinox 25077 Sportech 4000 in I am Legend.

Gotta be any G-Shock with a compass really.
only one watch will do in this situation
The Seiko Arnie
Something with precious metal and many diamonds. They'll eventually have some trade value. I can tell the time with a stick.
Gray
It's got to be large, strong and made of steel so you can use it as a knuckle duster in a desperate situations. Maybe an Oris of some sort?
Give me one of those horrendous Invictas - I'll put it in an extra-long NATO and bam, a weapon.
G Shock on a NATO wrapped around a Sig AR would be my choice. To be honest the watch would also be the less important element of the two :-)
An auto seiko of some kind. Tuna or monster maybe, both serve the purpose of time telling and head knocking.
If looking for something to tell the time and fight of Zombie's then surely a U-Boat watch would be appropriate given the size of them...
Ok, got to be a solar/atomic G shock - and I'm thinking some kind of mudman so you don't get rotting zombie flesh stuck under the buttons. Might get a bit stinky - it may be an apocalypse bit I wouldn't do to let our personal hygiene standards slip (and my wife always comments how all the characters in the walking dead appear to have access to a local branch of Gap for nicely fitted t-shirts, vests, khakis and jeans)
SD.
No battery to worry about, should be good for at least 10 years without needing a service which is probably longer than I'd survive since I cba with cardio, trit so no lume glow to be spotted in the dark, and should have some swap value if needed.
Orrrrrr
solar g shock.
