Just added Seiko number 3 to the collection
First impressions are not good. But for £130 I wasn't expecting the earth.
Considering mods. Any suggestions on what the best bang for bucks are?

My first real 'incoming' since joining the site. Feels like Christmas has come early!
Armida A1, first gen, what a beast! Seem to prefer this on the dive strap rather than the bracelet.
Armida A5, another beast but not quite that of the A1 and sits very comfortably on my wrist.
Looks like I'd better start working harder as this 'hobby' makes my golf and mountain biking spending look like small change!!!
Just arrived today! Lemania 105 ref 1276 off the bay for £300 shipped!
As my 'hummer' Bulova Deepsea is currently hors de combat (), I treated myself to one of the Accutron II Precisionist "re-imaginings".
It's only a little bigger than the original and the smooth sweeping hand is a nice feature on a quartz watch.
Bit of a bargain from HS Johnson (under £200) and delivered next day, if anyone else wants to succumb
M.
Nothing as fancy as a new watch, but 5 new Nato's for my SKX007
My new ALS 1815 Up/Down - undeserving, but very happy chappy!
BATMAN!!
Well subject to final negotiations this may be on my wrist soon
1981 sub birth year.
I have a Maktime re-issue of the classic square-case Sturmanskie chronograph wending its way to me from Germany. I am obsessively refreshing the DHL tracking page, apparently in the hope this will make the package move faster.
Put a bid in on eBay for this; a bit more than I really wanted to pay and didn't expect to win it. Of course, these are always the ones you win
It was sold as a non-runner, as the seller apparently 'didn't know which battery it took'. I wasn't expecting it to work and it would have been a bonus if it had.
Picked it up from the PO at lunchtime.
Opened it up and the movement (an ESA 9362) looked a bit grubby and, of course, didn't work (I'll probably strip it down and see if I can get it running again). Luckily, I had the correct size glass and a spare 536.121 movement (the right one for this watch).
Popped it all back together and have stuck it on a plain black nato for now.
Another one bought back to life!
Goes quite well with this battered 980.007
Took a flier on this nice little thing from an Italian seller on eBay.
One loose link on the bracelet (wearable but needs looking at) but otherwise seems to have worked out ok :)

Got this one the way :)
Oh and this
But selling a few :(
Tuna on its way for me, the 017 this time having sold the 015 as I didn't get on with the tuna a year ago...but wanting to give it another try. The new handset etc of the newer releases isn't something I am fan of presently, but the bullet.
Currently trying to work out bracelet options to order, thinking Strapcode Engineer ii, and a mesh, but not sure on the clasp options currently.

Love this Tag Carrera
Picked this up at the weekend :)
An unplanned purchase yesterday. I blame the AD for having it on display in the window!
I tend to lurk on here and I've not bought a watch in nearly 2 years, but I've made a conscious decision to loosen the purse strings a little.
This was a complete impulse purchase yesterday at an Ernest Jones outlet store. I know Rado split opinion but I absolutely love the shape, bracelet and plain dial combination. The best part is that it had 50% which was the clincher for me :)
Well, the tuna 017 arrived today, off out so no photos (we know what they look like!)
Rubber strap was too long, so thinking of selling...or keeping it for 30yrs as NOS!
Much prefer the silver bezel vs my previous 015, but not sure on the blasted shroud due to matching bracelet restrictions vs the brushed, so might source an 015 shroud. Currently got it on one of Eddie's new NATOs, tough to fold back through the keepers.
Also received the orange bezel SKX through SC from Chris, but didn't have time to adjust the bracelet, so threw a nato on the tuna. The orange bezel is great, lovely bit of colour to the watch, poor man PO is how I see it. My first non J SKX, so missing the 21J text which is strange to see, but will get used to it I'm sure. Love the SKX, have the 007, 009, a custom from Brad, and now this one!
Matt
Two Seiko 6139 (Pogue) "resist" from 1971 still in great shape:
