    Today I found my grail

After lurking the web for weeks, looking for a watch not to big (my wrist is 17.5cm), with screwed crown, no date, saphir glass and a simple readable dial. Expecting between Precista PRS-82, Smith Military, Smith Everest, the Zeno Explorer Military I couldn't take a decision as none match all my desire (don't like much the bezel of the diver).
I found today in a shop a brand new Zeno-Bazel Explorer discounted. Doesn't take me long to get it.
Ok the glass is acryl, but I can live with that.

As she has no second hack and the writing "super precision" I think it's a model with the Myota movement.
Is there somewhere a number matching list witch can confirm?

    First impression are mixed.
The bracelet is a pity. The crown felt in my hand by the second adjusting (unscrewed). I screwed it in with a bit of Loctite.
Size and dial are perfect for me. Now I'm testing accuracy.

Pictures coming soon, I have to order first a pair of NATO by Eddie.

A cracking good watch. Wear it in health.
    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

Doesn't really sound like a grail to me?

If the dial says 'Swiss made' at the bottom it's either a ETA or the newer AS movement. No Swiss made means the miyota.
    All the best,
    James.

    You're not false.
But for the bracelet, don't care, my idea was a NATO.
For the crown, I heard it happen to some, not only by this watch. I screwed it with a point of Loctite. Should do the job. And I'm not going to use it a lot as the watch has no date and seems to be accurate.

Yeah. The Adolf SCHILD is a NOS movement from ETA. Hope it is this one as I have the same name, perhaps Adolf and I have a common ancestor, that will be a nice story to tell.
Number on the back case is 6704.
Dial says "superprecison" and "Swiss made".

Depends on the color of the shirt you are wearing, all of them look good.

    It is a handsome watch.

    New issue

So, the first 3 or 4 days the watch was so accurate I couldn't see an error of a second.
She was set up with +15sec. as she has no hack second.
End of the week (between Thursday and Friday), after a night wearing it unstead laying it on the night table she lost the 15 sec.
    Today she's at -15sec.
But that's not the worst, 30 sec in a week is still good.
No, today, as it is the start of a new month I wanted to set it.
On the first position, wich is for winding, you can rotate and rotate and rotate, the spring seems never coming to its end. But you hear something happens when turning.
On the second position, no way for turning the hands and setting the time.

I think I have to return it to the factory. Starts bad.

I have just tryed again again, but in changing the watch's position, upside down and so and suddenly the crown got "engaged" and the hands rotate.

I will wait before sending it back.

Really reminds me of a Rolex Explorer, they look quite similar. A beautiful watch, and in my opinion it works with all the natos.

Yes it's an homage too the Explorer.

NATO fits good if you throw away the second "under strap" because it's to thick for a watch that isn't slim.

I have to send it back to the factory for the problem I expose above. Let's see if they are efficient.

So, this week my watch came back from the factory.
All is good now and, of course it doesn't cost anything except the sending costs.
I experienced the NATOs, stock and with cutting the second under piece.
    Look much nicer flat.

then try my old AMO Cannotage strap. Was initially in 22mm but fits the 20mm my watch.

This watch as a big, big default for me. I can't read the time in night without my glasses.
I'll sell it for something bigger, for 250L.
    If interested, please pm me.

Oh, she work great till she is back.
Was perhaps a lack of grease or so because she sits too long at the dealer. Don't really know. But now I can't complain.
I haven't found someone interested for at the moment.

That's because you post complete drivel, repetitively.

Must be lack of intellectual capacity I'm sure...

Or that I read on a skimpy bus and may miss out a line or two in some posts, just saw the statements above and can just say that I'm sorry.

I have no clue what kind of race you refer to.

I think it's more the fact that you have no substance to your posts. You never provide useful information to any discussions.
It's as though you are simply trying to increase your post count.

I would also love to know what a 'skimpy bus' is.

I go by bus on really bad roads, but let's not increase my post count further if that is a concern. Sorry if people don't think that I contribute, rather harsh statement but everybody are entitled to have their view

So, to remember, my grail species were:
    - case around 39mm, lug to lug not more than 48
    - saphir cristal
    - screwed back case and crown
    - legible, simple dial
    - no date
    - no see through back case
    - WR at least 100m

I bought an Eterna Kontiki Date that, except the date and the 42mm case (but short lugs), fits the bill. Alas was not very reliable and the service was poor.

I looked a time on the Speedbird who could have been a solution but at last I went on the only one on the market (so far I know) that fits all the bill.

I'm very, very happy. The only dark point I see at the moment is that the leather of the strap looks like plastic. Perhaps to new. The camo strap ist just stuning.

A bit late to the party on this but.........Probably refers to your comment,

"The crown felt in my hand by the second adjusting (unscrewed). I screwed it in with a bit of Loctite."

The tudor heritage ranger is a great watch (I prefer on the bracelet) but I think you should keep the Zeno as well as the proportions are fantastic.

    Both are gone.
The Ranger was poor quality: dust appears on the dial. Back too Tudor. Then a few month after, dust again on the dial. And she was a bit too big, dial was quite empty. Would have been perfect in 39mm. And the lugs where too fine and sharp. Takes all the knock.

My MKII’s not perfect but tend to.
38,5mm non date, screw down crown, 100m water resist, accurate. Hands are nice polished and slight curved so they shine always.
Just bottom a bit too bulky so don’t sit perfectly on the wrist. But I can live with that in the wait of a perfect 3-6-9. Perhaps the Everest in 36mm.
