Not sure about the watch, but that shirt certainly qualifies as one of Liberace's old cast offs.

It counts as what it is - a thick, chunky sports chrono that happens to have a case made in gold rather than steel.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

Yes it does and it was also my wedding watch.
Sold it for £2k when cash was tight and I've regretted it ever since!

    No.

But at least it has a modest diameter :)

Assuming that is a dress you're wearing, I suppose the answer is yes. ;-)

Not quite. That's the calibre 17. The op's watch is the calibre 36 limited edition of 150.

Hmm, didn't realise they were so rare, have seen a few for sale. Had the steel c36 version, probably the nicest watch TAGHeuer have made.

It must have been worth more than 2k for the gold weight.. the Monza has quite a substantial case.

No. Not a dress watch in the strictest sense - others will surely be along to argue this issue for the sake of it - but its certainly a nice in-between watch and I like it.

There is quite a weight of gold in the case. Even on leather it weighed noticeable more than a gold day date on a president bracelet.

They did 150 rose gold calibre 36 and later 150 rose gold calibre 6 (3 hander).

I've got to agree about the steel c36, I've still got two.

    Thanks for the responses, guys.
It is indeed a sherwani and a Tag Caliber 36 Monza in RG.
It has a little bit of heft due to RG and some height but overall, still feels small but I still like it quite a bit.

Does this qualify as a dress watch?

    Beautiful watch.

On a side note I absolutely loath wearing Sherwani's and avoid them at all cost. I find them incredibly uncomfortable and depending on style can be very itchy as well! Not to mention I just don't have the figure to pull it off. (imagine a pear supported by two toothpicks)

Unfortunately my wife insists I wear them and not only that it just HAS to match with her sari which means I end up buying a new one every time I have to go to a wedding because God forbid she wear the same sari twice...It's always the same conversation...

"But I've already got a Sherwani very similar to that colour... I'll just wear that one!"

"You already wore that to so an so's wedding and the same people will be there...Besides that's an old design now...You need a new one"

It's an argument I never win...

I'm not even going to start on the shoes you have to wear with these things...
