WMIK awoke from winter hibernation:
I've been driving this D5 R-Design for over 6 years since I picked it up with delivery miles. A sporty Volvo, which maybe an oxymoron.
The great thing is that the V70 R-Design is pretty rare on the roads, and I've only ever seen the same model and colour (glacier blue) once in all the time I've been driving this car. You can't say that about many other premium car brands.
So if you see one on the roads of the South East that looks like this, the likelihood is I'm driving it, so give me a toot (no gestures please!)

This ...
Doesn't look like much but has 300hp and 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds, with the comfiest seats I've ever experienced. (It's a Saab 9-5 in case you're wondering)
Vauxhall Corsa

Yep, an Evora S.
I've only had it a couple of days but I'm also finding the same thing. The ride is exceptional. Not just for a low slung, sports car but one of the most comfortable rides of any car that I've been in. And it still goes around corners on the proverbial 'rails'.
I hope to have it out on a track soon.
And what's even more remarkable (to me) is that there are only about 500 in the UK. So it's rarer than a rare thing.
Volvo S60 D5 for moi
lovely cars guys!!!
first outing of the year
A sixteen year old Peugeot. On the plus side, it doubles in value every time I fill it up.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Not mine, but whilst in the USA I took the chance to take this for a test drive last weekend.
It is very impressive.

Audi Q5 - perfect if you have a rug rat!
It's been brought back to life, it'd been gathering dust for half a year! It's have a full set of Brembo Carbon Ceramic discs and calipers and a new and different exhaust system (again, 4th or 5th one) at the moment. Will get it back next month and then need 700-800 miles to bed in the brakes.
I have a 6.5litre 100bhp/litre engine in build as well for the 'lolz', will be done by the end of the summer.
I've lusted over the Exige S for years but am now leaning towards an Evora due to the easier ingress/egress (my wife hates getting in and out of the Exige). I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the Evora's build quality. I looked at one the first year it came out and it seemed a bit rough around the edges.
Thanks.
Having thoroughly enjoyed driving 130,000 miles in my beloved Skoda Fabia over many years - buying a 993 two or three years back seemed a huge extravagance at the time but it's turned out to be the best thing I have ever bought in terms of enjoyment.
As a complete fluke it has also turned out to be the best investment I've ever made- just shows that when you ignore the financial side of things and
follow your heart good things can happen.....
Enjoy your incoming 991- I was so excited the night before I collected mine I felt like a 10 year old at Christmas waiting for a new BMX
Well, not at the same time off course, but here we go:
Volvo V70D4 (2014) - pic from the web. Same colour etc. We need that for hauling the dinghy + RIB + loads of sails, spars, clothing etc when we go to regattas during the weekend.
My town car. VW UP with all options + tweaked ECU for more power + Audi TT steering bushes for better handling. Fantastic little machine!
Two classics

Latest addition to the fleet, currently non running: I took the engine out last Saturday to fix an oil leak. Nothing serious, but the engine leaks oil on the heat exchangers, causing a lot of smoke when you drive. When that's done, I'll be lowering the front of the car by 2 -2.5" and with thoroughly bleeded brakes and new tyres, things will be great again.

I loved the shape of the 991 but after I saw the thread Farm Kid posted of the 991 and 993 side by side. The 991 loses some of what makes a 911 so special. A 993 really looks like a proper 911 in my opinion. When funds permit and I move house to a place with a garage I'd like one!
2009 Skoda Octavia VRS
While it's a great car it's not very exciting. I've had it for 2 years and thinking it's time to change...another M3 maybe ?
The weekend summer toy. Only got it back on the road this month.

I've had this 5.0 XK for a couple of months now.. It's a lovely way to travel (sounds great, too!) - just not quite so practical as the previous XF. Oh well, 1st class is not about compromise :D
I've not tried getting into an Exige but the Evora isn't great. Arguably, getting into and out of it is one of it's weak points. Build quality on the 'S' is fine though (and that's coming from an Aston Martin).
The sills have been dramatically reduced on the new Evora 400 (which is coming out soon). The trim and fit on the inside is also much improved from the early cars. Maybe that will be worth a look?
Nothing better than riding this when the sun is shining
whilst hanging out with some fellow bikers
Fantastic bike in every way, my only niggle is how I'm going to keep my license!
Bring the S1000rr over for the TT - less chance of losing you licence, at least on the mountain ;)
It's just a matter of time...
Gutted.....
Oh well....
