Looks to be a nice watch, I will look out for it at my AD
Not that I ever disliked Oris, they have some great pieces for the price, but none ever really grabbed me as something I would want.
This changes things, the front view is nice, but it wasn't until I saw that side profile that I'm probably in love!! It's 40mm as well so bang in the sweet spot.

Gosh I really like that. The dial distortion of the numbers looks great. Love the size and layout. Have never liked oris divers because of the weird case shape but this is promising. Good price too.
Steve
Very nice indeed. A classic profile, visible on many divers from the sixties. I don't recall an Oris, but there were some wonderful Aqualung / US Divers and even Jacquet Droz watches with similar looks**. Great hands too.
** straighter lugs, more angular cases, from memory. This one does ring a bell, but I can't think why...

Looks nice indeed, sensible size as well, with 40mm.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Lovely piece, seems Tudor and Longines really started something with their Heritage Line, every other company is releasing new watches based on past models.
This one looks great, although I'd rather prefer a no-date dial and a lower pricetag (around 1.000EUR), especially since it doesn't have a bracelet.
Kind regards,
Catalin
RRP is about 900,- Euro's less than a Tudor Black Bay, and as stated above, you can probably pick it up for quite a bit less.
It has great specs, and besides the brand image, I can't see anything justifying the much higher price of the Tudor.

I like that a lot, this along with the LE that was written about a couple of days ago I think Oris are starting to find there feet design wise.
As with the OP Oris have never grabbed me but the last couple of releases seem to be on the money for me.
100m because it is trying to stay true to the original.
As Inq24 alluded to, this has more than a little Longine Heritage Diver about it. Both in the concept of resurrecting a vintage design, but also their actual look. I don't dislike it per se but it doesn't do much for me. I like that they've swapped the batons out for arabics though.
Still can't work out what watch this reminds me of - the JlC Master Mariner Dolphin? The AS-powered Aqualung Date-o-matic watches (the Blancpain-a-likes) or even a Titus Calypso-matic? There's something incredibly familiar about this, but I can't put my finger on it.
At the time of production (1965) Oris was part od ASUAG - so it could be any of those brands - from Edox to Raymond, from Eterna to Rotary - let alone anyone else that got private label watches made by that Group.
Of course, it might just be that I've never seen the original Oris - which is pretty likely...
Thumbs up - good job keeping it to a sensible size and price. It reminds me of a few things, including certain Chopards funnily enough. Manages to be its own watch though.
I quite like this watch! Normal lugs and a reasonable size and thickness. :)
I do hope there is a no date version and a blue dial would be nice. I'm not holding my breath though. All in all very impressive.
It reminds me a bit of the old Lip Nautic Ski (minus a crown).

This looks great!
Always liked Oris divers but they have always been bit too chunky for me, quite liking this. beleive this is the original it was based
on pinched from polish website so am not 100pct sure.

Like that a lot.

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
I prefer the originals date being more obvious. But other than that, good effort Oris
That's the nicest new watch I've seen for a while.

Great watch! Order placed.
Think it looks even better in that picture than the press shots. Is there an official price yet?
1600 euros i think.
very nice watch, design, size, price..........HATE the date (font, place, how it cuts into the 6 indice)...perhaps they will think of a non-date version for 1,300€...that would be just perfect!
That's the nicest design for a new watch that I've seen in ages. Sensible size too.
Really not a fan of 12, 3, 6 and 9, the way the font and style is done. It could have been epic but that cheapens the looks for me :(
The exterior looks amazing though.
Like this a lot, can't understand why the date is not at the 4 o'clock position, love how the date wheel is black with white font, so it almost blends in almost seamlessly.
I like it a lot. When I first saw the pictures, I thought it would be 44mm odd as Oris seem to have gone to town on the big cases lately. I have a 60's Oris diver and its a lovely old thing.
The font style is very typical of a number of watches from around the 1969/1970 period.
I also wish it had no date but I don't mind it so much at the 6pm position.
A no date version in a nice flat retro blue colour with a matching blue rubber strap would be nice too. :-)
I just wish the ProPilot range was a more sensible size
I really like the look of this one, could be a perfect casual/weekends/holidays watch.
The 60's vibe makes me think of surfing and the Beach Boys at their best.

The likelihood of my B&R vintage being sold has just increased massively. A great daily wearer for very sensible money.
