Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Picked this up on the forum the other day and to say I am pleased would be a massive understatement! Daytona 6263 Big Red.
Just for a reality check , this cheap and cheerful clerkenwell
Makes me happy , I have issues lol
^^^Good to see these type of watches staying on the forum. Cherish it, it's a beauty!
I do too but I nevertheless wish they'd made it smaller[*] and manual wind. They should have been able to keep the low price by going with a Chinese manual movement. But I recognise that if they had gone this route it probably wouldn't sell so well.
*: Me saying that a watch should be smaller!? I usually love bigger watches. But for vintage verisimilitude I can't help but feel it should be smaller. :-)
Arrived yesterday. Always wanted a 356 so to finally have one is a little special for me.
My sub :)
Have wanted to add a TH for a little while now but TBH have never seen one that took my fancy until this Saturday spotted this in a local jewellers good size nice dial and large date window full set from 2011 so a happy punter.
I got My first Aristo just a couple of weeks back and like to show it. Really pleased with the quality. I got the 262 already on its way in the the post and cant wait to show them both together.
So, my wife has never liked my digital G-shock (the retro square, positive display, non-stealthy GW-M5610BC-1ER) on the basis it looks like one of those plasticky Casios from the 80s (which was rather the point but...) and although I like it (and had added the combi-bracelet normally found on the negative display version) I eventually convinced myself that an ana-digi G was the way to go as it is easier to get the time at a glance and at an angle. Two excuses then, at least one more than we usually need.
There are many cheaper ways to resolve the conundrum but after literally moments of thought I plumped for an MTG-1500B-1A1EF. I think it was the catchy name that did it...
It arrived this morning. It is not yet synced for time or adjusted to fit, but I already know it was the right decision. Slightly extravagant for a G-shock but this is a fine piece of work.
Very happy with the decision.

Incoming with the leather on order too, the days cannot go fast enough.
It's been an expensive, but very exciting day! These two are on the way to me:

Plexi :)
No ugly white gold markers :)

However something went wrong during shipment I think..
^^^ well worth the wait… the lume looks fantastic!
Nobody had anything new in a week?! I've not had anything since Xmas, so this thread is as close as I have at the moment!
