Lovely watch from a great watchmaker, enjoy it!
I have been searching for a nice dress watch for a couple of years now but nothing had really taken my fancy. I wanted something with a stainless steel case and either a power reserve scale or sub seconds. The chance came up to purchase this Glashutte last weekend. It was NOS at an AD close to me and is as close to immaculate as you could find. There are a few tiny marks on the polished surfaces but nothing that you wouldn't pick up with a few days wear. It's running superbly on my timing machine so doesn't require a service ATM and it also came with a 2 year guarantee.
It's a first generation PanoReserve so it has the manual wind calibre 65 and the case measures around 38-39mm. It's my first in house movement and the quality is right up there with any brand that I've come across during my time in the watch industry. I like the lack of automatic winding too as there is something satisfying about winding a watch up manually. The detailing on the dial is quite subtle at first glance but the more you look, the more little details you spot. The big date is also a first for me, it fits in nicely with the design and I guess it will still be easy to read when my eyesight deteriorates in the future! I also like the fact that the brand is relatively unknown to the average person so it flies very much under the radar.
As some of you will know, I am a watchmaker by trade and this watch certainly satisfies my keen eye on all levels. I can't see myself ever parting with it unless I have the funds to purchase something similar with a precious metal case in the future. In fact I've decided to have a bit of a cull of my collection in the near future as I find myself only wearing a few of them these days. It's a bit of nightmare to photograph with my amateur equipment due to all the highly polished surfaces but here are a few pictures...
Lovely watch from a great watchmaker, enjoy it!
Absolutely beautiful, congratulations. I recently purchased my first GO as well (a Senator Observer) and am very impressed with it. Fantastic watches.
I bought a Senator Moonphase last year. Absolutely gorgeous watch!
Attention to detail and workmanship first class.
Wear it in good health.
That's a gorgeous watch, sir.
I'm going to the factory later this year on a tour round the facility. Looking forward to that, a lot.
Lovely watch. Congratulations.
Hi very nice watch, real quality. I have the GO Panomatic date.
Beautiful. Love the balance wheel bridge.
That is an amazing watch, well worth the money for that quality.
Love it, perfect addition to a collection...
great looking watch, but the best part for me is the display back .
That is stunning congratulations
Beautiful watch.
What are you up to now in the West Mids?
Beautiful design and quality is all there I'm sure. Congrats.
Its always interesting to see the choices of those in the trade as opposed to those just in the target market.
Lovely watch.
I too am lucky enough to own a GO (Panomatic Lunar in my case), I never tire of looking at the movement. The double swan neck regulator is a work of art..
Cheers,
Plug
Great looking watch and your photos fully do it justice.
Congratulations
Truly lovely watch. Congratulations, great choice.
Raul that is absolutely gorgeous, congratulations!
Out of interest was it a one horse race, or were there others in the price range you were considering?
Great watch! Enjoy!
Fantastic!! Im thinking of a GO chrono next.
Fantastic, amazing, incredible and beautiful watch
I don't know very much about the brand, however I have to say the watch is beautiful.
As daft as it sounds, looking at that watch put a smile on my face.

What a lovely looking watch. I can see that joining this forum is going to be both educational and expensive...
Beautiful watch, congratulations!
Love the look of that, one of many GO's I've admired for a while now
That really is a wonderful watch and at 38-39mm sounds like an ideal size. When the time does come around to service it do you think you'll do it yourself or will it go back to GO?
It will likely go back to GO unless I'm accredited to do them by that time. I have no problem servicing the movement but I wouldn't have access to parts such as a mainspring barrel or the case seals so I'd rather it went back. It's quite frustrating to be prevented from doing it by a lack of parts, it was a sizeable investment though and there won't be any corners cut when it comes to servicing it.
Oozes class and quality, definitely a bit special. Not for me, but I can see the appeal.
Will the OP service it himself when the time comes?........I`m sure he will.

Each to their own. Looks like a picasso to me. All the right bits in all the wrong places.
But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So enjoy!
Lovely looking piece and one that I've got on my 'want' list. One concern is that it might be a couple of mm less than ideal, do you find it wears quite large due to the design?
A beautiful piece. As my niece would say "Well Jell".
There are so many things to admire about that watch, but I find myself irresistibly drawn to the three blued screws around the jewel chatons - just perfection!!!
Congratulations on a beautiful watch.
Oooooh very very nice!!!!!!
Nice. This deffo on my grail list. Just lovely
What can I say that hasn't already? Stunning.
Wow! Stunning.
What a beauty...that's what I want to get when I am grown up...😃
As a watchmaker yourself has your criteria for desirability changed with your training progression? I note you said you went through some of the major brands but didn't find the right watch for you. I was just wondering if your taste has developed in line with your professional learning?
Great choice, congratulations and enjoy.
