I wouldn't buy based upon potential increase in value so I will discount it from my decision which would be for the Navitimer.
Now traded for IWC

What was wrong with your original thread? http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...raqi-Air-Force
Anyway, personally I don't like Brietlings so neither, please.
(Well, you did ask...) ;)
top one for me too, no idea on values...
They're both Navitimers.
If I didn't have an 809, I'd say the 806, but as I do, I'd take the bottom one.
I don't like G-Shocks, just to add to the content free nature of this thread so far...

made a small edit, now it's just choose one of the two
1806 less clutter more colour.
806 for me.
806 all the way
1806 by a mile on looks alone.
1806 for me
1806, looks fantastic on the bracelet
If I had to get a Breitling it would be the 806. Sorry, not a big fan.
1806 has the better hands.
The correct answer would be whichever you like - as you can see, personal preference differs.
If I had to choose I'd take the 1806 - I find the dial less cluttered and richer in contrast thanks to the colour. The 806 looks a bit plain in comparison (or maybe conservative), the 1806 seems more sporty & dynamic.
Neither. Just don't like them.
1806 for me
no question for me, 806.
I'm personally not a fan of either as dials are far too busy for me. My first initial impression though of the 1806 Iraqi Air Force chronograph was I thought it had a moustache
806 for me too...
If members "hate Breitlings", why on earth contribute to an 'either/or' question? Bizarre...
Simon
if I must it would be the top one
I prefer the 806, mainly because I hate crowns at 9 o'clock
Neither for me. For some reason, vintage Navitimers look really scruffy to me. It's probably a combination of age of watch and amount on the dial. The hands don't age well and the dial ends up looking like its been pencil drawn on.
Vintage Rolex Sub - yes....vintage Breitling Navitimer - no.
806 for me, as you want us to choose.
806 all day for me; reminds me that my Spatiographe is due a wearing.
Thank you for all your feedback, looks like pretty equal split , here's a picture of my current 806 ...
I think you should read the first reply to your earlier thread again.
Many people like the 806. Some of us collect them. Some of us would much rather have a straightforward 806, than something with a modified dial, which might be harder to shift than a boggo one (or indeed repair/ replace if necessary), and without any provenance aside from a pretty uninspiring sticker on the dial (it's not like they're much cop!), what exactly does it show?
But that's just if you are assuming there will be a price rise at all, and if that matters to you, which it probably does, or you wouldn't have raised the investment question. Like many vintage pieces, Navitimer values yo-yo around, and about 3/ 4 years ago a properly mint 806 might have been £3k. There have been really-not-far-off mint ones on SC for £1500-2k... Regardless of price, you still have to find a buyer, and that's never guaranteed...
