Really starting to like this one. Anyone tried some kind of leather
"The new PRS-40: in tests, 8 out of 10 dusky damselfish preferred the strap..."
Probably**.

hey Eddie, this is really a cool watch!!
one of the best designs coming from an industrial designer. not saying this because the dude seems Italian, but because he seems like a bit of a wis.
I once pondered about a buckle type case to go well with a nato and this is the realisation of that idea! birlliant!
oh, ok so, I just wanted to say, if you REALLY want to make tons of dosh....
yeah?
you could make a plastic version, anti swatch kind of thing, for a toy vesion of the real smiths thing.
it's a bieautiful design for this!
don't let the big companies or the small bandits get there first, make a toy replica of your own watch!
immagine something you could sell for under 25 pounds (with another movement and a plexi instead, something underspecced to meet the price) and assorted plastic cases, like you don't know which colour you get (so people buy more untill eventually... you know?).
then there is the glow in the dark case which is the rarest. for the lume maniacs "find your watch in the dark! always be ready!"
stuff like that.
oh, and you should sell just the case, no strap. this you sell separately
you could call it the "SMITHS NATOY"
then to advertise it, you give a bunch away to famous people,
no, better, you show up at a red carpet event and throw them to the stars, cause a stir and make it big.
or advertise where it matters, like on porn websites "the SMITHS STRAP ON NATOY watch you can wear anywhere with no worries!"
but this version you have to sell with a strap. a very long one with velcro, so people can wear it in any position ad on any limb.
oh, and please factor in the cost a 5% royalty for my idea. thanks.
I'd have one of these in a flash but I can't stand NATO straps! It really pains me because the watch is really beautifully designed.
I may just buy one and try to find an alternative strap. The clip on may work, or perhaps a leather Nato. Perhaps even a GGB?

More great photos.
There's a divided opinion on this one, still liking mine especially on Eddie's green Nato.
Interesting first shot Manxdiver… there is a lot of metal on show from that angle. I think this is one you can only decided if you like by wearing it for a bit...
I think it looks great - and if I was looking for a quartz as an everyday wear (and/or hadn't used up my wife's tolerance for this year) I'd buy one tomorrow.
When I first saw the pics my instinct was that it would look great on mesh but no way to attach ... I get very frustrated with Nato straps, with quite a big wrist, mostly I find that there's not enough to turn down (just a cm or so coming out of the top rung), so I'm left with an awkward bit flapping around.

Does anybody know if a 22mm Time Factors "Aviator" would fit?
I was thinking about this.
If you put some sort of pin though the hole in the strap for the spring bars then they would hold the strap in place once fastened around your wrist.
It's not perfect but would allow a two piece strap to be used.
And hi Giovanni, that's a great watch you've designed there! Can you design a bracelet to fit to it now please?
Hi Giovanni, love the design of the watch.
The screws on the Aviator unscrew completely, just needs to be checked if there is enough room for the "fixed springbar" to fit when the screws are refastened.
Would be easy to get a similar design custom strap made I would imagine, just need to know what size to allow for the fixed lugs.
Just realised that Eddie's aviator strap is an open ended type, Doh!
That would look good, if you could get it to fit.
Thanks to the 50p test (patent pending) I think that I can get away with the size so ordered one today
I have a grey perlon strap on the way for it.
