Lotus Elise S2 when it's not raining.
Panda derv the rest of the time... can't beat 70mpg!
Can we please stop posting 911 pics (not really!). I am so struggling to decide on one of either a 997 GT3 (Gen 1), a 993 or a 964.
I've got a 993 which for long distance motorway work or getting anywhere fast is fantastic-
but for a Sunday morning countryside blast and the real old skool 911 experience I'd definitely
go for a 964 or earlier............my SC is more exciting to drive than the 993 despite being slower.
Nice to have a choice. This 964 on PH, though it has some mods, is a beaut.

That's a very nice car- but 28k is very steep for a C4 selling private.
A silver 964 C4 coupe in good order with the same mileage sold recently on PH for 22k.
A friend of mine recently bought a 993 C2 coupe.....in very good order with 66k on the clock and he paid 27k+.
This car looks good for the dough but I have no idea what it's like in the flesh:

Yes, that 964 is certainly all the money and probably not worth that, but it does look so good. Subject to seeing the past Morgan reports, and a new PPI, it might need little or no attention.
I get more questions about the E63 in the petrol station than I do with the Ferrari TBH. Fuel is currently running at 22mpg after 1500 miles. Admittedly 1000 of those we're running in !
I'm out of my depth with the Ferraris etc on this thread, but am about to take order of an slk250 cdi, or as my girlfriend affectionately dubbed it; the sl-gay :(
Couldnt let this kind comment pass without the opportunity to post another picture :
Some right posh cars on this thread!, I don't have a car ( bikes for me), but when I am home I drive my wife's Mitsubishi colt, surprising amount of head/leg room in it for a small car!!

thats lovely mate, I prefer older things ( bikes/ cars/watches....not women!), and believe its the journey not the destination, that is until I break down and the dream is shattered ha ha.
Future classic the much maligned Rover 75 CDTi, a choice made because I like it not just poverty.
Love the "We are not worthy" smiley. Is there a "We are not roadworthy"one to go with my Riley?
my chav chariot,
had it around 7 years now, it's not a bad car for a shopping trolley
if you loose the tea tray make sure you put something else on instead - perhaps a Duck Tail Spoiler.
Why?? Because Porsche put it on for a reason i.e. to prevent the Front end going light at high speed. Failing that keep a bag of cement in the hood.
Very nice car by the way.

A Harris I assume - nice.
Loving the Revolution Wheels.
There are literally hundreds of pages online regarding this matter- apparently from 1981 to 83 the car came as standard with no rear spolier-
the tea tray spoiler was a factory option- which many buyers evidently asked for.
I spoke to a specialist Porsche company who race and prepare vintage 911's for the track and the boss said unless you are doing 140mph the spoiler is irrelevant.
I just think the narrow bodied 911's look far better 'clean' and the spoiler ruins the lines.
I've bought a new engine lid (as opposed to removing the tea tray and welding up the holes) so should I change my mind I can swap the spoiler lid back.
Had a similar argument on another forum in the past. 80's was a decade of excess and many great cars came with big spoilers such as Cosworths, 911 and Saab Turbo's not to mention the ones which came with smaller ones such as Merc SL, Aston Vantage etc. They are part of the era and should be rejoiced for the slightly tacky, but representative, sign of excess that they were. An 80's 911 without a whale tail is like Kylie Minogue in anything other than a short skirt.... it just didn't happen.
I'm an 80's lad.... 911 without a huge spoiler? It's just not right!
I know what you're saying....it is the iconic look......but at the same time many owners do remove the tea tray.
I've been to one or two specialists to have work done on it and the first thing they say is 'get rid of the awful spoiler!'
I know it represents the era but the reason Porsche designed the 964 and 993 with the flip up spoiler is because the cars
look much better without a huge lump of plastic hanging on the back.....
