Congrats, it is gorgeous and the quality will shout at you tomorrow as it has done today.

We'll not much has excited me....until yesterday when I was impulsive and tried on a watch I always admired from a far but thought looked bulky and too large. Saw it in an AD window (rare sight), tried it on and 5 mins later with wife's approval it was purchased !!! On the wrist just so slim and elegant.....
Didn't think I was ready for a PP but once it was on my wrist I had to have it. Truly believe my collecting journey might be over !!!
Congrats, it is gorgeous and the quality will shout at you tomorrow as it has done today.
That is an incredible watch, beautiful, many congrats!
Very very nice indeed. Congratulations².
I must admit I really fancy a Patek. This has not helped.....
Excellent, thanks for the photos, enjoy.
What justification did you use with your wife?
Thanks Tony.....from what I'm used to buying/wearing it is a big and brave move but it just felt write for a host of reasons ....especially as my wife happened to be with me (she is usually bored when I go into a watch shop) and she loved it.
Your AP/PP dilemma thread had kind of mentally prepared me for the big jump....just surprised myself that it was so soon. The IWC will be moving on and maybe one or two others ....but getting the PP definitely will help keeping the collection to a core set of watches I love AND wear....

Gorgeous and looks great on you! Enjoy!
But I am pretty sure you will be back for more ;)
Haha. She was smitten with a rather gauche rose gold day date special with diamond bezel. £41k after discount. I bought her dinner instead !!!
She just said she knows I've been working like a dog for months now and I should go for it. Without her being there I would never have dared come home with it.
Un. real. Seriously pleased for you, that's awesome and is my own get-out-of-the-game watch. Sooo much cooler than a 5711, proper Patek complications.
Much better than the RG Daytona... Enjoy :-)
I hope you didn't wear those trainers to collect that stunning watch
I really do hope you bond with it, as, despite many will chatter on about it's only because of the name, I really do think this is amongst very few at the top of a very large watch tree.
Enjoy.
Absolutely superb watch. Congratulations

Steve - thanks. We only popped out for snack and were not watch shopping !!! Was truly impulsive so afraid to say was in jeans and those tatty Nikes !! At least I bought them new and not from SC
I'm not into buying for namesake ... Have had loads of micro brand sub £300 watches ....but you are right - this particular model does the brand justice and I get what the fuss is about
The quality of that shines through in the pictures.
I read the title and opened the thread with the intention of writing "it's never the end of the journey". Then I looked at the watch and changed my mind. Simply stunning. If it is the end of the journey (which I doubt!) then it's a fitting end, you will struggle to surpass that beauty.
Great pick-up... I'd say enjoy but I know you most definitely will be :-D
Congratulations Dan, a beautiful piece indeed! I tried on a Aquanault the other day which also felt sublime.
Wish I could convince my wife! But the PRS82 is serving me well over in the US of A!
Going into Cardiff tomorrow.... Hope they've run out of Ironman Triathlons in H.Samuel.... or I'm shagged.
Congrats OP. Although personally not a fan of PP, I very much appreciate the technicalities and finish of the brand.
Truly a special moment for you.

It is spectacular. I am not normally a great fan of busy dials, power reserves, etc. but this seems to pull it off where others often fail.
Out of curiosity, do you know how the case back comes off for service? It is not obvious from the picture.
Absolutely beautiful piece.
Congratulations!
See you on your next incoming thread haha
Wow, congratulations.
This forum will start to get a reputation for impulse PP purchases. ;-)
...wear in Good Health! :)
What's the water resistance on that model?
Christ that's unbelievable!!! wish I was in a position to make a spontaneous 20k (or whatever they cost) purchase :p
a huge congrats enjoy such a fine timepiece!:)

I tried several on when a new batch arrived at the PP shop in London a couple of years ago and that particular version stood out from a very impressive bunch. One of the few watches in the world where the display back is essential. Congratulations
Gray
Perfect watch and absolutely stunning. If I only had to have one watch, this would probably be my choice.
Great call! The 5712 isn't for everyone, but it's a much more interesting movement than the 5711 - and I think a grail should perhaps have a degree of complication.
I agree that the movement is much prettier than the full-rotor 324 based ones - that are often in much more expensive watches!

Superb timepiece. I suspect this journey never ends, but that's as good a destination as you'll ever find.
Excellent work sir.
Now that is something special. Enjoy
Very nice! Congratulations
Well Dan, you sure took me by surprise on Friday!!
I was certain you were less of an impulsive type that I am, and that these purchases were measured, considered and weighed up.
I guess on never banked on the allure of putting a PP on the wrist. When I tried on the 5726 a short while ago I was similarly smitten and have been "man maths" working ever since...
I can't wait to wear this over a weekend (will do a JLC PC swap ) and see what all the fuss is about!
Oh and if you want some half-decent photos of it, then pop it round
Congratulations, lovely dial albeit bit busy for my taste but nice complications to the movement, personally I prefer the Day Month at 12 o'clock model.
On 'lighter' note are you 'really' expecting the end of your WIS journey, imho it 'could' be the start of another chapter of the never-ending WIS journey......

Every other so-called "manufacture", please take note: the sub-dials use the full width of the dial, and run to the edge of the watch.
That is all.
I kind of know what you mean, I have two of my four watch grail collection and hope to end it next year with a 5712. After that I don't know if I will go after another watch.
Absolutely beautiful that, congratulations!
Awesome watch!
Congrats!
That is a stunning watch, I love the movement.
Impressive. Enjoy it!
Well done.
Always good when someone has the courage of their convictions.
Lovely watch movement enhanced by the micro rotor. If that is journey's end that it is a very fine place to finish. But.......
There's incomings, and then there's incomings. That truly is a thing of beauty.
Well done, and enjoy.
Congrats! gorgeous watch, enjoy!
God that is nice...good luck with it.Did you win the Lotto !!
