I'm trying it on a RAF strap today... nice and thin, comfortable and with a screw bar secured buckle it should be safe!

Hi guys,
Sorry, its taken me a while to figure out (ie remember) where I got that black and sand NATO from. I did a trawl through my Paypal account and I turns out I got it from Watcharama when they used to sell straps. I got three NATOs from them and they are all really good except the steel keepers are annoyingly too deep, as if they are made for a much thicker material.
It was described as James Bond NATO Classic Buff

Monkeyswag do the black and sand stripes too, they call it 'desert snake'. I also got the black with thinner sand stripes that I posted a pic of earlier in the thread from them too, called 'the highway' I think. Both are good quality and they do them in brushed fittings too which is a must for me on a brushed case like the PRS-82.
More pics from The Red Sea and more pics of Nics.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
On Eddies flat end rubber. Lovely soft strap.
Is that what's known as watch porn eddie?
I like it! I will be in 7 weeks somewhere in Spain/Canaries Island! Just an wild idea, but maybe Eddie is sponsoring one watch for the girl and one watch for the TZ Member who is the winner of our NEW Summer Game and we all look this summer on the beach for the Hottest Precista Girl Picture. I do smell a great Fun World wide competition here! :)

I keep seeing these leather nato's so I thought I'd have a try. Robbed a few fittings from a nylon that doesn't get worn and got stuck in. It is very comfortable and the colour brings out the vintage lume nicely..
(sorry no beach babes as accesories)
I really like the look of that - nicely done.

Stuck mine on one of Eddies beige NATO's this weekend, liking the summer feel it gives it

Wow this watch looks great in the "wild". I'm still after the Smiths Military PRS-29. Building up posts so I can lerk on the sales forum now! Haha
Awesome. Need to make some room in the watch box for that.
not a bad choice the mesh (fed up with natos!)
its no good gonna have to get me one now...i have resisted long enough
Gray, please post a picture with the PVD. I like the idea of that.
Hey Plastic
Please excuse the radio silence. I've had the black mesh for a week now. A quick shot taken today against the rusting hulk of an Air Ministry Sunbeam Talbot whilst exploring a derelict WW2 air field.
I've had all sorts of mesh bracelets over the years and without doubt this is the cheapest at £20 from Amazon. It's matte black and looser than most, ie the mesh is not tight, however this is compensated for by the generous weave and a thickish wire. The lug bar is also more substantial, thicker than many I've had, which I like. I prefer it to most I've had and find it very comfortable. It has a seatbelt buckle for the perfect fit but lacks a safety fold over clasp - which might prove costly.
I really like the look on the 82 - as mentioned before I like the combo on many watches. In most lighting and from a variety of angles it mostly just looks like a black strap - nylon, Kevlar, sailcloth - something with a weave. The photo doesn't show it, but the combo also has the illusion of darkening the colour of the watch head itself.
All in all I am very happy with it.

I decided to slip on some new shoes today quite by accident. I had an unused grey crocodile grain lying around and knowing how good the '82 looks on admiralty grey, I decided to give it the officer treatment and this is the result..
I can't say enough about this watch Eddie. You made a classic better so I can use it but look like a watch at least twice the cost. It's class act Eddie..I just love it...My only gripe? The aged lume tint in the 12 o'clock lume dot should have had a stronger concentration..it's much whiter appearing then the dial markers..
Cheers,
Konrad

I agree it is a a fantastic Watch so versatile and perfect size for me with 20mm lugs and very comfy @ 40 mm! I've never had so much admiration over a watch which is nice but not what you go looking for.. Thanks MR P.
Baked in the oven for 20 mins medium heat and then in a cup of bleach checking every 5mins for about 20 mins in total..
Scary stuff as never done it before but I like that watch so much and it's not going anywhere, worst case scenario I could buy another if it went horribly wrong! Not being flamboyant but I payed the same for a ghost on my 5513 that I payed for the the 82 and like it so much I'm thinking of buying another for the Good Lady! Anyone sitting on the sidelines wondering if they should get one please don't as You WILL not regret it....!

Here's my PRS82 on Eddie's Speedbird NATO

Lovely watch - not too large or heavy, and not one you're likely to see often on your travels.
Steve
Whatever I put on it I always end up going back to a NATO. Currently admiralty grey :-)
Gray
I normally have mine on a stainless bracelet that I think suits it very nicely
Today I took it swimming in the Sea at Camber so it went back onto the nato it came with. I know it's fully waterproof but still felt nervous with it in the water. It has obviously survived with no ill effects and been well rinsed in fresh water one I git in home as per Eddies instructions. Still feels wierd wearing a watch in the water though
Great picture!
I'm still in honeymoon period, it's my favourite watch at the moment, just pushed my Everest off the top spot!
I just love mine, it's on Eddies blue Nato at the moment, but looks amazing on the Speedbird Nato too, i just love the bluish hue the crystal gives off :)
I have also been hankering after one of these… spotted a version on Crown and Buckle.
