If this were a 'beater' it would be perfect! As it is it's the nicest grab and go you could find :-)
Just arrived and like it's just left the store in Japan...
Nice Try:-) but you'll be wanting one of those PRS-68 now?
It is one sweet quartz... such a lovely finish on the case, perfect dial, bracelet is very comfy. The perpetual calendar is a great feature. And drilled lugs! I just know this will be calling to me all the time!
I'm beginning to feel great satisfaction with my smaller collection as there is not one Seiko which doesn't shout out for me to grab in the morning. Still tough choices though!
Just one more incoming Seiko for that project I mentioned ;-) and that's it... except for maybe a BFK.
Great picture of the MM300, love the hands and bezel.
A classic diver :)
a few of my favourites over the last 2.5yrs....
thanks for that, I will confess to being a bit of a fan of the $50 to $50,000 ethos of Seiko.
you can see some more in the shot below with some others...
Great watch :)
^^Nothing wrong with that:-) looks good...^^
For me...
This is a very battered but still going strong, I bought it in Germany in about 1979 or 80.
Here are my three:
First a plain SKX009, but beautiful coloration and keeps plus 1 second a day
Next, a vintage 7006-8030 - a bit wabi-ed but also still keeping excellent time.
The third is the charm though - a H.O.T. 09 by Dr. Seiko, Randall Benson himself. This 6309 was completely disassembled, all parts inspected/replaced to as new condition, including case; white on black date wheel; sapphire crystal installed; hand applied bright lume to the dial and handset; beadblasted case and bezel insert; and, regulated to about 2 seconds a day. Its one of a kind and still keeping great time three years after purchase.
With kids the days start really early

What is this? Look awesome!
Smashing watch... I dare not (because that will make me want to do it) ask if the crystal can be done with a normal set of tools... but can it?

Only just seen this, my apols. It started out in life as an SKX009 and has been extensively modded; crown, crystal, dial, hands, bezel insert and rehaut are all mod parts and the case has a black cerakote finish. I started a thread about it around 3 years ago in Mods & Wreckers talking through the parts and processes
Arrived while I was away on tour.
Nice Ananta, sure makes a statement if you have the wrists for it.
Ive got one coming at the end of the month but its new so where did you get the new crystal from and what does it cost? I must admit Ive got a Blue Sumo with original glass and a Black Sumo with a Blue Tinted AR Sapphire Crystal and the Titanium clasp fitted it makes all the difference but the black one came from the US with all the mods already on so dont have the foghiest where to get them done??
Cheers!

I took te MM300 in a trade last week. Th mods were already in place, but I believe Duncan at genesis serviced it. I think that it may also be that the sapphire was already done before this. It also has a brushed oyster style bracelet rather than the dressier standard one. I like it.
Yokobies do all this sort of work.
